Charging $400 a night for a bed is a complete rip off. No restaurant due to a private event, no room service until 5pm and not even bar/cafe options. Not even a mini bar or a bottle of water! If you’re going to close your restaurant - which is one of the deciding factors when booking a hotel - then you should either discount your nightly rate or extend room service hours. No one besides the wedding guests care if someone is getting married, you are clearly making enough from the event to be able to compensate the other hotel guests who have to put up with the inconveniences. Car park was full for the duration of the event, noise was ridiculous, staff indifferent. Sending an email about the restaurant closure a week before check in does not provide enough time to rebook elsewhere, especially during school holidays! You knew there was an event at least 12 months out - a simple note on the booking page or an auto email following my confirmation wouldn’t have taken much effort. You also expect guests to use your QR codes for menus and compendiums yet the service is so bad that the pages don’t load. Not everyone wants to use public wifi. Absolutely furious with this experience.

The hotel is more 3* than 4*. It's a well loved hotel that could do with some updating. There's no mini bar in the room or plugs beside the bed. The food is generous sizing but more in line with a 3* hotel than a 4* hotel. Set your expectations at 3* and you'll have a great time.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The Motel is well located, the restaurant and staff were great. The room was very spacious and comfortable. On the top of our list for another visit.

I changed my booking from 2 nights to one however the wrong night was cancelled. It was sorted out by the lovely Bianca who dealt with the situation so professionally. My only problem with staying at the Mecure is the breakfast room is not inviting at all - quite dated and dreary so I went into Gerringong instead of eating there
