Mataio Business - Confirmed reviews ALL

I understand the lobby and restaurant do need to be renovated but i was made unaware. It is not posted on your website nor the booking system i used did not mention it. For me the entire Sofitel experience is checking in and receiving my complimentary champagne drink in the bar and experiencing that wonderful feel. I would have chosen a different hotel that had that (and wold have returned to Sofitel once your renovations were compelted as i'm sure they will be nice. The king bed needs to be replaced. There was a noticeable low point where both my wife and i fell towards. Sofitel is well regarded for their beds and duvet comfort so this was a dissapointment There was wine available in the mini bar however no wine glasses only huge water glassess.. Wine glasses are expected if your mini bar offers full bottles of wine on departure day i had to meet my wife at 3pm at the hotel. There was no real place for her to wait sit and read a book for a few minutes while i arrived back at the hotel. I understand the front desk had to be relocated to the 2nd floor while under renovations however a small sitting area done up with some attention to detail would have been nice. I felt that given all this a complimentary breakfast might have been offered or something to make the experiencing something that allowed one to overlook all the aspects that typically are offered on a positive note...all staff from front desk , to concierge to turn down were professional and friendly

No restaurants opened Barely anything from room service Current renovation (not safe for clients, I have videos) Reserved over the phone nobody told us about the renovation

My husband and I stayed one night in Montreal for our anniversary. Every staff member we encountered was extremely kind, friendly, helpful and courteous. We were even spoiled with some deserts for our anniversary. When I forgot my reading glasses in the room and called, having them shipped to me was a super easy process. I work in the service industry and hold a very high standard and this experience was above and beyond. Also the bed was next level comfortable! Thank you so much. It was a total treat and delight to stay with you.
