Welcoming and smiling staff. Good sized rooms. Very nice and clean both bathroom and room. Good bed and bed linen. Very quiet, so good sleep quality. Excellent location - in walking distance to most major sites. Minibus Linea M goes between the old railway station and the new High Speed Train Station Mediopadana. I travelled t/r the old station, but took the bus out to Mediopadana just to see it. Well worth.

The breakfast was too simple for my taste, I ate every morning in my room food that I bought at the supermarket with special milk that I bought for me because the hotel had no options for non-cow's milk except soy.

My colleagues and I we were in Reggio Emilia for a week for a meeting at the the Malaguzzi Center. The Mercure was perfectly located to reach the conference location as well as the center of the city. The staff is helpful, the rooms were clean, and the bar was a comfortable spot for coffee/drinks as well as breakfast. The Restaurant Enigma is outstanding - and an unexpected surprise.
