Anzac Day stay which is a blackout date for dining discount. Food was comp due to foreign object. Room not ready when we walked in. These issues were resolved to our satisfaction.

Great location and service, but mattresses waaay too soft

Fantastic location, great service, very clean. Loved the buffet breakfast. Great having parking onsite. Only real downside was that the mattresses were super plush, waaaay too soft, absolutely no support. Terrible for anyone with back problems like me. Even my husband, who prefers soft mattresses, thought it was too soft. But as we've also had this issue at another Novotel (where I ended up sleeping on the floor) I'm now realising this might just be what the chain offers. Probably wouldn't stop me from staying here again as the hotel was otherwise great, but I might request a firmer mattress in advance if they're available.
