On arrival I was checked in and offered a room by the lift or further away, gentleman checking me in was very polite and friendly. He gave me a room on the 6th floor away from the lift as requested. Room had a little mini bar in, consisting of 4 drinks - water x 2, orange juice and full fat Coke. The bathroom was equipped with rituals toiletries - these smelt divine! I’ve actually managed to locate a bottle of the same shower gel it was that nice. Bed was comfy, room was nice. Only downfall was the heat, I could not get the heat to lower neither could I open a window. I sweltered through the night. This became apparent it wasn’t only me that suffered as my colleagues did also. Apart from this, it was a nice hotel

Arrived at 11pm after a long journey. Room was clean, but very warm. By 2am had to go to reception as it was unbearably hot in the room, despite trying everything possible with the thermostat. Was told something about “not yet summer heating”(?!?) and was offered a fan and the window key. So the option was to either freeze with the window open (it was about 8 degrees overnight), or burn with it closed. Awful night sleep, wouldn’t recommend unless your other option is nowhere at all.

Our room was excessively hot. When we called the front desk to report the problem, they sent a technician to the room. The technician was not able to turn down the thermostat, so instead, they used a special tool to open the window. The windows are not supposed to be opened. We had to keep the window open all night so that the room would not be too hot. Even so, it was too warm. This also meant that all of the noise from the street and the airport came into the room. This was not acceptable. We would expect better for a hotel of this calibre and reputation.
