Great hotel - well located close to Gare de l'est and Gare du Nord. Basic hotel but had everything you needed. Rooms weren't tiny, which you often find in city centre hotels. The are where the hotel is located isn't the best, but if you're just using this as a base then it ticks the boxes. One small thing - if you suffer from allergies, take some of your own food. Parts of the breakfast buffet aren't labelled, so don't rely on being able to eat too much from it, particularly if you're gluten or dairy intolerant.

Good location near Gare de l'est. Lift was out of order (fine with us, maybe less so with elderly/disabled people or those with lots of luggage). Rooms and bathroom were clean but for sure on the smaller side (sort of to be expected in Paris). Check in-/out process was smooth. Ongoing construction in the block made for some disturbing noise - yet the hotel is not to be blamed for this.

The hotel room was well below expectations. We had booked this hotel because we hoped that it will be a reliable 4-star hotel as being part of the Mercure brand. However, the hotel is not 4-star at all. It needs a lot of improvement and a good renovation to raise the standards. We didn't have any major issues with our stay, apart from being a bit disappointed with the condition of the hotel amd it felt like we were in a decent 2-star or mediocre 3-star. O wouldn't recommend staying there if you expect a good quality of hotel up to a 4-star standard. Probably you could find other hotels at the same price which are going to be proper 4-star... It is not worth paying a premium price for such an accomodation.
