We stayed overnight last night 11/05/2024 as we came to see Michael McIntyre at the ovo arena. The location was very good. The price was extortionate. We did book fairly late as wasn't sure we were going to be able to go due to partners recent health problems. The elevated price £249 double room 2 adults without breakfast included!! may of been due to woman's final at the stadium. The room was very basic but bed was comfy and there are extra pillows if needed. Whoever made the room up before we arrived did not think it through. The kettle and tea coffee was in a corner where there was no plug so had to move it. There was no bin at all in the bedroom so nowhere to throw the teabags and empty milk pods or any rubbish. Therefore a big mess left on the side. We had been provided 1 teabag and hardly any milk pods so had to go to reception and ask for more. We ate at the bar before going to the venue and I think we were forgotten as we waited about 40 minutes, it wasn't that busy and others who came in after got their food first. After mentioning it we did get a voucher for 2 free drinks. The key cards for the room door didn't work and had to go to to reception to get it reset, which also didn't work first time. Overall I spent a lot of time going up and down in the lift to get things sorted. We did have the breakfast, if you haven't payed in advance and then.go to have breakfast you have to pay there and then and not on checkout ( another trip back to the room for debit card ). Breakfast was nice though. The staff are pleasant and helpful but it is not a tightly run ship and it could have been a bit better especially for £249!!

Wouldn't serve that food to my dog and will never stay there again awful

Well this experience with Ibis has been shocking it's been a long time since I've stayed in such a bad hotel. Room was shocking it was very very basic curtains were hanging off the rail bathroom wet room wouldn't drain and it wasn't very clean. Worst part of the trip however was the dreadful food offered. We were in a coach trip to harry potter experience. The food offered us was lasagne which was inedible cold Mac and cheese watery soup bread no butter and dry brownies. That's it . I was insulted and embarrassed as I'd booked the trip for my family. No apologies ensued ! I wouldn't serve that to my dog

Worst bartender ever. A bad employee can turn a good experience into a really bad one very easily.

The worst bartender ever... We stopped at the bar of the hotel for a drink around 11pm before heading up for our room and she refused to serve even though the bar was open until 12pm. The night before we were lucky to be served. While we had our drinks the same girl left the bar leaving it with no one to serve for a long time. Guests went back without being served and some entered the bar and help themselves. Kept moaning about her job and how late she was going to leave... As a bussiness owner, I know how harmfull these kind of employees can be for the bussines and how they turn a good experience into a really bad one. Have been into other ibis hotels and this was the only one that we can say it was a bad experience.

Clean, comfortable and quiet room. Very nice staff. Good and safe position. 15 minutes walk to the metro station. The restaurant for the breakfast is small based on the number of guests and there is no organization. You need to fight to find a table.
