The stay was not comfortable as no air conditioning was provided in the rooms so there was no ventilation unless the window was left open which might not have been safe at night.

I have used the hotel before and found it to be convenient for both Basel SBB railway station and also for somewhere to eat and drink and the Markthalle which is just over the bridge. Staying at an Ibis you pretty much know what you are going to get so that was fine and also breakfast was pretty good considering.
