From our welcome to our leaving we found the staff very helpful & polite throughout our stay. The room was excellent, very clean & view from 7th floor was appreciated day & night. We were a little disappointed with dinner menu - last few visits have always been better choices.

Reception service was very prompt, the room was lovely and clean and comfortable. The lifts to Lambton Quay weren’t working on Saturday afternoon which meant a bit of problem solving trying to find another way.

The Superior room with a King bed was very spacious with a nice work table. Ideal for the business traveller for a short stay. The hotel is located right atop Lambton Quay which is the main/only shopping & dining strip in Wellington. It is less than 30 mins from Wellington Airport. Dinner at the Caucus is over-priced but the food is great quality. I had the Steamed Broccolini and Korean Fried Chicken, both very delicious. My only complaint is the the only functional lift from the hotel lobby to Lambton Quay was broken all evening. The other lift was out of service. I had to figure out how to find another lift (James Cook Hotel) by asking people in Lambton Quay and come up. When I suggested to the hotel lobby they should at least put up a note in the lift door asking travellers to use an alternate lift, they just shrugged it off.

We had a good stay. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I'm glad I had my booking printout as they tried to charge us more than the rate we had booked.
