We just got back from a great weekend at Novotel Darling Harbour. Our whole experience was fantastic from the moment we drove in and were greeted by the kind concierge who showed us the best place to park tothe amazingly friendly service by Marcella on checkin who was so kind to our little girls ( she even bought a huge chocolate and colouring packs to the room for them and a bottle of wine for us) to the spacious and comfortable rooms ( harbour view with great view of the fireworks on Saturday night) to the restaurant for dinner ( my Husband said one of the best steaks he has ever had) and then to top it off with James on checkout who was so friendly to deal with. We can't wait to visit Novotel Darling Harbour again soon.

The Novotel does nothing specifically wrong, but the overall experience disappoints. It’s just very tired. The hotel has needed a renovation for 3-5 years or so now, and it’s getting to the stage where the experience is not unpleasant, but neither is it pleasant. And the contrast to alternatives is growing.
