Arrived late with our baby, room key didn't work. Halls smelled of smoke. No mattress in the travel cot we had asked them to put in the room. Hair in the bath. Towels not clean. Didn't expect to have to pay to use the pool with our baby and then to find that the pool water was visibly dirty.

Stay frequently and it was a Tuesday night. However a wedding was on and instead of putting non wedding guests away from it I was next to it. Understand hotels need weddings but when booked (especially those with set up rates) that a wedding is on so the decision can be made if stay here and have a disturbed night until 1am or another local hotel. Less likely to stay here again even with the rate as do not feel like a valued customer

Reception and room were good. Evening meal experience (DB&B deal) was not. Our first and second choices were unavailable. We waited nearly an hour for our main course with no advance warning of any delay and meaningless updates whenever I enquired. When the dishes finally arrived, chicken supreme was delivered instead of grilled fish. We had to accept it because of the delay, but the chicken was dry.
