The Mercure Darwin looks most attractive - great entrance, luxurious pool, modern attractively decorated bedroom and well appointed bathroom - and there was a shuttle bus service to the nearby airport which was excellent. Also the staff at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. However, the food at the restaurant was very disappointing (though priced at the high end) and the wake up call arrived more than 30 min early which is significant when you ask for the call at 5am! The other extremely irritating feature was a large boxed computer router high on the wall which flashed a row of moving green lights and made a disturbing noise all night. When I rang about it at 10 pm there was an offer to move us to another room, but who wants to pack up and unpack again at that time of night when one has asked for a 5am wake up call? Luckily I had my ear plugs with me and managed to get to sleep.
Dear robint137, thank you for your feedback and unfortunately a power outage reset our PABX which then initiated a default timezone setting, something we should have been on top of however the team unfortunately missed it. I have also noted the computer MDF and will address accordingly. Next time you come through it would be great to hear your feedback on what other F&B options you would like to see as we are continually evolving both price point and offers. Great to hear the front office team were pleasant and helpful and we look forward to seeing you back in future. Kind Regards, Jamie
