We stayed at the Mercure London Hyde Park Hotel for a few days in late April. It is small hotel, comfortable and well located with good transpot links to LHR and to Central London. It is good value for money, the staff are pleasant and accomodating. We will stay there again.

Arrived early so I could leave my luggage to be told my room had been upgraded which was a nice surprise. The reception staff were very polite and helpful and secured my luggage ready for when I checked in after a day sightseeing. The staff were friendly and the was clean and comfortable. A very pleasant stay.

Good location, poor customer service

Our last night a fuse was blown in our room. Instead of moving us to another room immediately, we had to wait an hour for the staff to attempt to fix the problem and only have after trying to fix the problem were we moved. This happened at 10pm at night and we needed the outlets to work to be able to charge our phones. We only needed the new room for one night of sleep so I think we should have been moved immediately.

Despite being fully booked, we managed to move your room and even arranged for another guest to be accommodated in a different hotel. Maintenance issues are unforeseen and can occur without prior notice. Our team’s response was aimed at rectifying the problem as quickly as possible to minimize any disruption to your stay. We understand that you needed the outlets to charge your phones and we did our best to meet your needs in a timely manner.
