Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Very Enjoyable Stay"

20th September 2013, stuartsteele, Bromley, United Kingdom

Went there for a relatives wedding, very clean hotel, helpful staff, great food, as for wedding provision - excellent assistance, seemless, great set up outside. All round good experience. If you are planning a wedding, then I suggest you go and have a look.

Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Lovely grounds."

25th August 2013, Belgies2013, Brussels, Belgium

We stayed for a couple of days, which were busy with coach parties, so we had to time our meals as it was busy in the dining room and we didn't fancy queuing for the buffets. We had some really good service from some attendants and some mediocre from some who didn't appear to be enjoying their work. No Belgian chocolate with the coffee despite it being stated on the menu! The hotel is in very pleasant grounds which you can walk in, and it is convenient for the motorway although that made it noisy at night with the window openAll in all it was a pleasant stay and we would go back again.

Management responseThank you for your review, I am pleased you had an enjoyable stay and would be happy to return. We often entertain group parties during the summer but these should not affect the service we offer in the restaurant. I will pick-up your other comments with the F&B manager and apologise for the missing chocolate. I will ensure you receive double next time.RegardsDominic

Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good value"

22nd August 2013, chrishotelviews, Deal, United Kingdom

I stayed for one night in a spotlessly clean room, equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, an iron and ironing board, a safe and a fan. The evening meal was good and the staff were friendly, efficient and professional. There was a wonderful selection for breakfast and I would definitely return.

Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Convenient location!"

11th July 2013, steele_speed, Morden, United Kingdom

We were spending the weekend in Kent at two different venues and the hotel was one of the most convenient to stay in. The location and setting/grounds are very good. The room was comfortable although not very spacious, but was fine for what we required. The food was very good, but bar prices are expensive,

Management responseDear steele_speedThanks for making us your first review, we appreciate your feedback.I am pleased you enjoyed your visit and the food here. Bar prices are regularly compared to the market and we really do try to offer great value for money. We also have a variety of bedrooms and are always pleased to offer alternatives whenever possible. When you next visit, I would recommend an upgrade to a Privilege or Superior room.SincerelyDominic
