Gail H TripAdvisor review

The food could have been warmer, private meeting but facilities did not go as planned. Were interrupted a few times to rush through to get food.

Dear 13798DFgailh, Thankyou for your feedback, this is very important to us and will be fed back to the team for future planning. Regards Jillian Leven Mercure Livingston

Kwik Fit stay

I come to this Hotel regularly. The company pays for it , breakfast and tea included . I can t complain about it. Hotel it s always clean and room it s beautiful. No bath though , just shower, no mini bar. Other things I don't like are: menu: looks the same all the time; no extra facilities (no pool, gym or sauna) NO OPTION FOR BRINGING THE PARTNER. This applies only to KwikFit but I think they should get over with the past and go back to normal. (As I have to book extra room for wife all the time she wants to come with). Member of the staff: some of them are nice, smiley and friendly. Some of them seem just fed up to see me. There is that guy , probably from Asia, with glasses, who work s in the kitchen and restaurant floor that has a "smelly" attitude. EVERYTIME I come there i have an issue with him. Last time was cutlery, he could not understand my request (I was eating with my hands! ) this time was a GLASS of sparkling/soda water. He just did not want to give It to me. He seems to not want to understand. Can t explain the reason. And over all some members seem just happier to be there then others. All "new" members looked happy to be there. Older members seemed a little less happy about it. Reception same, the blonde women at morning desk had a suspicious attitude compared to lovely girl of the evening shift. And so on... Asian guy with mustache my favourite :) always polite, calm and smiley :) In ado: I like to come here but i have heard that Kwik fit does not have access to other Hotels in the area because of previous events: overall antisocial behaviours. That s sad because WE ARE NOT ALL THE SAME. The Mercure it s cool but it offers really basic service. No cookies, no mini bar, no sauna, no pool no gym. Member of staff treats you like : oh yes. Kwik fit. And I think it s sad. Company spends LOTS of money sending us regularly here and I think overall we are limited. I hope this will change soon. Ps. I had the feeling some of the guests are refugees from Ukraine.

Very disappointed with this hotel

I had the option of booking several other hotels but because of my experience with Mercure over the years, I chose this option - what a mistake We arrived early and asked for an early check-in and did not get one until much after the official check-in hours, we waited over 5 hours The hotel itself looked like something set in the 70s, apart from the reception and lounge area which was okay, the rest of the building looked old and tired and needs refreshing or complete make over. The carpets looked tired. There was no lift connecting the two floors, which means most customers will have to haul their luggage's up and down the stairs The bathroom needs updating - the facility is just too old The room we were given was on the first floor in the extreme corner, which means whichever direction you walk to this room, you have the entire length of 2 very long corridors - really annoying Restaurant - which this was just okay, I did ask for some omelet and got something that was too salty but overall experience was okay somewhat for breakfast. dinner was a different experience, we had a look at the menu and decided to order takeaway from somewhere else. I could go on and on
