Very convenient location, walking distance to Prado, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Gran Via, Royal Palace. Decor showcases wine regions of Spain, and samples are for sale from a handy machine in the lobby, as is coffee. Rooms are standard Ibis, no frills but clean and and decent. Would definitely recommend this hotel except for 2 things. Minor inconvenience: soap was not replaced. We had only 2 tiny bars for 5 night stay; good thing we brought some. The 2nd problem was much more substantial: for 2 of our 5 nights, we were awakened at 3:45 a.m. by loud groups of people on the street outside hanging out, smoking, and yelling. They were going in and out of an unmarked door across the street. We couldn't figure out if it was a club or what, and when we asked the desk staff, she was totally unconcerned and unaware, just asked if we wanted a room on a higher floor. (It would not have helped.) I can't believe she would have had no knowledge of this problem; that this was the first occurrence. An apology or explanation would have helped. Other than that, the hotel is fine.

This hotel is in a quiet street of Madrid but still very good accessible by Metro (about 6 minutes by foot) or by taxi. The hotel is quite new, offers free wifi and breakfast. The rooms are family friendly, in our room there were four beds but very well designed so it didn't feel cramped at all. The beds are a bit hard for my taste but this is individual. The shower and toilet is fine, also well designed and reasonably sized. There are lots of Restaurants and Bars nearby, also a small convenience store is just around the corner.
Centrally located for the main tourist attractions, bars & restaurants. Rooms clean, basic but comfortable. Shower fantastic! Good choice of breakfast and selection of tea & coffee in communal area with a computer available for use by guests. Other snacks etc available to purchase. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely use this hotel again.
Small hotel with very modern decoration. Very clean and with good beds and bathrooms. AC worked very well as did the free wifi. the hotel is near Plaza Santa Ana, a great place to go out at night for good food, ambiance, entertainment, indoors or outdoors in a terraza. The hotel is very centraly located 7 withing walking distance of the top 5 star hotels in Madrid, as well as the top museums and Parque del Retiro. We stayed there this past week before heading to the airport. By the way, the taxi fare to the airport is set at 30 euros from this and any hotel in downtown Madrid, I believe. The rooms were big enough with a minimalistic modern décor. AC worked beautifully (it is hot, hot in Madrid in the summer). The breakfast the next day was very complete: variety of milks (chocolate, 100% fat, and fat-free milk; several kinds of juices, wonderful fruits, great pastries, breads, as well as tortilla espanola, meats, cheeses, and a great coffee and chocolate milk machine to make all kinds of coffee concoctions. We were very please to spend 77 euros per night with breakfast included. We would go back! Maite & Doug Stephens (We go back every year to Spain to visit family members since Maite is from there)
The hotel is in a perfect spot for all attractions, most doable on foot. The airport shuttle is very convenient, make sure you get off at the city centre (at the big fountain), as the next stop is Attocha and is a lot further to walk, at 5 Euro, it's a very good option. Just walk one block up and turn in at the Palace hotel, then walk up 2 short blocks and turn left into calle Prado, then just one block up and you're there. The hotel was nice and cool, which was very welcoming after a day out in sizzling heat and the room itself had very good air con too. We stayed in the superior room, which was very nice, unfortunately we were unable to utilise the patio, due to the heat. The breakfast was very basic, without variation. No hot food was offered at all and the cold meat and cheese very ordinary, so don't expect much, for a 5 day stay it was a bit disappointing. Overall a good stay in a great location
the airport by public transport is not so easy as you have to change twice if you take the underground, - but cheaper than a taxi (EUR 5 instead of 30); it is not the right place to make to new friends as there is no bar at the hotel, but just around the corner you'll find good and inexpensive restaurants (Lizaran, Dionisius etc.)
