Like its location very near BTS station and other malls (can walk to there), so that I can take it easy to go everywhere. Moreover, their staff are nice and helpful to assist my difficulties. I'm highly recommended this hotel and will be come again.View management response »

One night the youth hostel next door played a loud chill music but surprisingly we couldn't hear any noise inside Ibis hotel. Please build secured direct skywalk from BTS National Stadium to the hotel since the BTS station doesn't have any lift for those with luggages whose using the Airport railway link. The location is great because the neighbourhood crowds are mixture between uni students nearby, tourists & shoppers near MBK, art lovers who visit Jim Thompson House & BACC (ie. not like those crowds at Nana or Silom)
"Nice and good Location"
16th September 2013, Macnum, Chiang Mai
Stayed at Ibis siam for 2 days as business trip ,Hotel located in a center of Shopping malls and BTS stations good for people who are "Easy" life style.Do not expect much..if you think that a room rate is most important and more than that it s really center of shopping mall and BTS station like "Siam"
"Great nights sleep"
12th September 2013, Traveling_Aussie2013, Gladstone, Australia
Very clean rooms and great location close to BTS rail network. Would defiantly stay again and recommend to others as well. Very good customer service by all staff. The only small thing would be if there was more power point adapter's for us travelers that forget to bring ours but apart from that i couldn't find a fault. Well done
"Excellent Location at a good price.."
11th September 2013, Teegerho, Singapore, Singapore
The hotel is located right at the doorstep of the BTS station and within walking distance to all major shopping centre. Good Value for money.. However, the bathroom is a bit small and the TV screen can be larger for more comfort.
"Perfectly Located Small Rooms"
9th September 2013, jApdoLL, Makati City, Philippines
The BTS is literally in front of this hotel. Everything is provided although please expect tiny room. Beds were not hard although not as comfortable as I wanted it to be. Very pleased with this hotel and recommend it to any first timer or shoppers who just need a place to sleep and keep their things.View management response »
Management responseDear jApdoLL,Thank you for your recommendation to all those shoppers out there and for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent stay.I understand your comments about the small room as it may not be to some people’s expectations, however as you mention it is a great location and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon.Kind regards,Simone HansenGeneral Manager

Our group of friends had stayed at Ibis Siam in January and August/September this year, and could feel the difference in ethos. In January it was still new and the staff were obviously in the new found excitement and high spirits. We could feel their eagerness to improve and do the best they could, so we had enjoyed our stay despite some hiccups. But this time, right from the rather impatient frowns on the faces of the front desk people that greeted us on arrival, to the brusque answers to questions, and especially to the more-often-empty-than-not concierge desk, we could not help feeling that Management must have overlooked the need to balance the number of staff with the influx of guests. The staff was clearly overworked, and their patience was being tested to find the bottom line. The result? Guests were cut slack! How disappointing!View management response »
Management responseDear ThaiFrequenter,Thank you for taking the time to post your review and I was very sorry to read that did not receive the same level of service that you experienced earlier in the year. Please note that we have actually added more staff to the team since the opening as the business increased.I will certainly readdress your comments with the team and Management to ensure that we do not have any shortfall in quality of service and I apologise if this affected your stay with us.Again, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and I hope that we can welcome you and your friends back again in the near future.Kind regards,Simone HansenGeneral Manager
"Clean & conveniently located Ibis Bangkok Siam"
5th September 2013, johnnylkh, Singapore, Singapore
The hotel has a modern look and new. The hotel is located right next to a BTS. And all the best mall like MBK and Siam centre, Siam square are just right across the road. One of the cleanest hotel I have been to in recent trips.View management response »

"mr far away"
3rd September 2013, louisfrederickrocky, udon thani
clean hotel,to far from fun spots, staff emotionless, taxi drivers and tuk tuk drivers dishonest, far too expensive for a clean quiet room, and to top it off,you had to pay 390 baht to use swimming poolView management response »
Management responseDear louisfrederickrocky,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent at the ibis Bangkok Siam and understand that maybe our location is not suitable for all our guests needs.I am very sorry to read that you did experience some issues with the Tuk Tuk drivers, however they are not part of the hotel nor endorsed by us.The swimming pool is part of the Mercure hotel that shares the same complex and is included in the rate for the Mercure guests and sorry if this caused you any inconvenience.I hope that you are able to find a more suitable hotel on your next visit to Bangkok.Kind regards,Simone HansenGeneral Manager

"Hotel Ibis Siam - review"
15th August 2013
Here's my review of this hotel (8-11 Aug 2013)The good:-- location near Siam Paragon- clean and good size room for two (however, Novotel Fenix Ploenchit is twice the size of the hotel room)The bad:-- Room arent sound proof, and having a connecting door made it worst. Stayed at room 1508, the whole time the crowds was noise and loud. Door banging etc... especially at late nights. Barely sleep between 2-4 hours each night. - food at Quick Bite is really really really really really really really really really BAD. Was on the hotel cash back promotion, however the only cashback we could have was the food at Quick Bites. The breakfast is limited, always end up with two pieces of toast and one tea. The takeaways were bad too! Pizza aren't nice and had the worst tasting stir fried thai noodles in my lifetime (at least till now)- tour desk. were looking at the day trip packages for a few minutes. The lady simply ignored us and was more interested in her handphone. Even when we sat down and browse the catalogue, she still not speak or greet us TILL we start to ask her about the tour. Aren't very helpful at all. - reception staffs- aren't very helpful. were trying to avoid the customers by not raise they head or having eye contactIf you really want to stay at this location, try Meriden. Its is at the same building as Hotel Ibis Siam.View management response »
Management responseDear member,Thank you for taking the time to post your review about your recent stay with us.I am very sorry to read that you experienced some problems with the sound from other guests and that the food was limited. We do provide a Quick Bite option of fresh and frozen products in ibis as well as a snack menu, however our ibis guests are more than welcome to dine in the Eight Restaurant that is part of the Mercure hotel accessible from the ibis lifts.I will pass on your feedback to the team so that they may improve our level of service for our guests.I hope that we can welcome you to stay in the Mercure (as you mention in the same hotel) on your next visit to Bangkok.Kind regards,Simone HansenGeneral Manager

"Nice hotel with great location"
13th August 2013, flyingmonkeyz, Singapore, Singapore
I'm a fan of Ibis hotels as they offer value for money, and this Ibis is no different. Can't beat the location right in front of the National Stadium station and a stone throw away from MBK. Won't hesitate to stay there again or to recommend it to someone!View management response »

"Not as good as other Ibis"
11th August 2013, faymondho, Hong Kong, China
The location is great. But the staff are laid back and not helpful. Hope they can remove the smell of cigarette before. And hope that they won't say "If you don't take it now, we'll sell it to other guests." or " We don't know when we can finish cleaning it."View management response »
Management responseDear faymondho,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent stay with us. I am very sorry to read that you had some problems with the smell of smoke in the room. At the ibis we are 100% non-smoking hotel, however unfortunately we do have some guests that do not follow this and I apologise that we could not fix in a reasonable time frame.I will pass on your comments to the team so that we can keep trying to improving our service.I hope that we can have another opportunity to show you the service that we aspire to on your next visit to Bangkok.Kind regards,Simone Hansen
"good location and price"
6th August 2013, IRIS0601, Beijing, China
location is very good just near MBK and Siam malls. I booked it when it had 50% promotion，so the price is very low. The next time i go on travel, I will choose IBIS as well. I didn't try the breakfast so I can't give any comment on it.As to the bed, I want to say that it's amazing. IT'S the most comfortble bed i've ever slept in a hotel. The room is a little bit small but it doesn't bother me a lot.All in all, IBIS is a good choose for traverllers.View management response »
Management responseDear IRIS0601,Thank you for your 5 star review of our ibis Bangkok Siam.It always makes me and the team happy to read when our guests have such a great experience while staying with us and good to know that you loved our new ibis bed.I will share your positive comments with the team and I hope that we can welcome you back to the ibis Bangkok Siam on your next visit to Thailand.Kind regards,Simone HansenGeneral Manager
"Worth for Money and Strategic Location"
2nd August 2013, Eygenn, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Ibis Bangkok is located right in front of National Stadium BTS and MBK shopping mall is within walking distance.Room is cozy and the bed is absolutely comfy. Staffs are very friendly and helpful and they allow me to get an early check-in.One improvement for IBIS is that no proper shower gel or shampoo provided.
"Mercure Hotel at National Stadium BTS, Bangkok"

"Great stay for Cat Competition!"
1st August 2013, Fahrinazatul F
I chose to stay here primarily because I was bringing my 2 cats for a local cat competition on top of that needed a place that was as close as possible to the big malls. There was not a problem checking my cats in with me on top of that the room are pet friendly despite being a bit small. However, the big bonus was the its closeness to the bts station (national stadium was practically in front of the hotel) on top of that it was really close to MBK mall (5 minutes away) which was awesome! The only regret is that taxi cabs tend to not use meters when they pick you up from the hotel and would charge double (or even triple) from the normal fare. Otherwise great value for money due to its accessibility and pet friendliness!View management response »
Management responseDear Fahrinazatul F,Thank you for your 5 star review of your recent stay with your cats at the ibis Bangkok Siam.I will look into the matter of the metered taxis as there has been a couple of recent comments of a similar nature.I hope that your cats were successful in the competition and I look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to Bangkok.Kind regards,Simone HansenGeneral Manager - Mercure and ibis Bangkok Siam
"The Location Make It Worth"
1st August 2013, SimpsonMKK, Hong Kong, China
Located right next to BTS National Stadium, walkable distance to MBK, Siam Discovery Centre, Siam Centre which lead to Siam Paragon and you can also reach Central World via Skywalk of Rachaprosong. If you are a shopaholic, this must be your choice. However, if you are going to places which rely greatly on Taxi in Bangkok, the hotel staff in this hotel would disappoint you. This is the worst experience I had from my recent visits to Bangkok, usually hotel staff could get me a taxi by meter and I can use 100Baht reaching everywhere, which is very very good price if you are a group of four. While staff in this hotel would say things like "there is traffic jam" "If you go by BTS you need to pay more" to justify a taxi which charged you unreasonably high. This make me very unhappy even though the room are pretty good taking into account the price we paid. I hope the management would look into the taxi issue.View management response »
Management responseDear SimpsonMKK,Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel on TripAdvisor regarding your recent stay with us.I am disappointed to read that had some concerns regarding the staff not getting you a metered taxi. We do have a strict policy at the hotel regarding matters such as these in order to protect our staff from making mistake and affecting our guests.I will most certainly look into the situation with our team.Thank you for sharing this information with me and I do hope that you will give us another chance if you come back to Bangkok in the near future.Kind regards,Simone HansenGeneral Manager - Mercure and ibis Bangkok Siam
"Ibis Bangkok Siam - Excellent Location!"
16th July 2013, Ivy C, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
My sister and I enjoyed our stay at the Ibis Bangkok Siam. The location of the hotel is Excellent! This hotel is ideal for shopping and leisure. The only comment I have regarding this hotel is that the front desk staff should inform their guests at the time of check-in to NOT to destroy the cash rebate card which is required upon check-out. The cash rebate card is given to guests to use it for purchase of meals in the hotel, eg. breakfast, snacks, etc. Without the card, the hotel guest will be charged. I almost destroyed the card!
