« best hotel in belfast »

The ibis queen's quarter is the best hotel in Belfast.the staff are amazing and would really go out of their way to make sure that their guests are happy,I have been staying there since the past 5 years and everytime their hospitality impresses me,its always clean ,the beds are extremely comfortable, the bathrooms are spotless, and the heating is marvelous,Rebecca who is the manager is the most loveliest person I have ever met.if I were to rate it out of 10 I would give it a 20,trust me you will not regret staying there.love the staff and the hotel would not stay anywhere else.

« affordable, modern hotel in a great location »

The Ibis is great value for money, clean and affordable. The staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The location in Queens Quarter is excellent with plenty of cheap food options. It's only a 5 or 10 minute walk to the city centre or there is a train station and plenty of buses.

RebeccaTyagi1, General Manager at Ibis Belfast Queens Quarter, responded to this review

« One night in Belfast »

It's easy to predict what you will get when booking an Ibis, if, like me you find the brand good value and convenient, this site will surprise, the bedroom was far larger than many Ibis locations. Overnight stay here gave excellent value and service, late arrival at 2130 after food service had ended, the staff were only too happy to cook us a meal, as they were still on the premises. Very friendly staff, comfortable accommodation in convenient part of Belfast. Well done Ibis.

« Basic but Clean »

The Hotel is basic but clean. Bedroom had a Pod bathroom which is quite small. Beds were very comfortable. Location is good only being about a 15 minute walk from the city centre and near Queens University and Botanic gardens.. Breakfast was ok as cooked breakfast was just lukewarm, and less choice that other Ibis hotels we have stayed in.

VikrantTyagi1, Manager at Ibis Belfast Queens Quarter, responded to this review

« Major Disappointment »

I didn't even get to stay in this hotel the service was so bad. There was a mistake made with our booking and they had put us in for the Friday night even though we had booked for the Saturday. The deputy manager in the hotel had a terrible attitude, he initially told us they were booked up and couldn't help us out, he then proceeded to say that he did have rooms available if we were willing to pay extra, even though we had already paid in full for our rooms. I explained that I was not happy with this and wanted to speak to his manger which I was told wasn't possible. He proceeded to say that I had to take my complaint up with their reservations department as the booking was made online. When I asked him to put me through to their reservations department he initially declined and said it wasn't possible for him to dial the number. When I queried this with him, he then suddenly became able to call them and put me through only for the reservations department to tell me that they couldn't assist at all and I needed to deal directly with the hotel manager. When I relayed this back to the deputy manager he refused to do anything and would no longer assist in helping me. My sister, parents & I then had to find another hotel at 7pm on a Saturday evening at our own expense with the ibis hotel refusing to refund us our money. I have never had such a bad experience in any hotel and am extremely disappointed. I would not recommend that anyone stays here

VikrantTyagi1, Manager at Ibis Belfast Queens Quarter, responded to this review

Dear Sir / Madam, Thank you for taking the time to post your comments. As a customer service focused hotel I am saddened to read your remarks. Please note we take all your comments very seriously. I have spoken to both members of staff whom were on Duty on the evening in question. I have also spoken with the reservations team. I can confirm the following: The reservations you made on 29 June 2015 were in FACT for 17 July 2015 not the 18 July as you stated. The Duty Manager confirmed that we did have availability for the 18 July however the rate for 17 July was cheaper, compared to the 18 July 2015. As your reservations were already prepaid the Duty Manager very kindly offered to use these monies to go towards your stay on the 18 July, and you would be required to pay the difference. As the error was made on your side he did not have to do this, but did so as a gesture of good will. As this stage he received a lot of verbal abuse. Please note that our hotel WILL NOT accept any form of verbal abuse toward our staff members. Therefore you gave the Duty Manager not choice but to refuse your stay. Kind Regards Rebecca Tyagi Assistant General Manager

« Good customer care and great value for money »

The services were good. Online booking was simple and remainder e-mails were sent. I enjoyed a warm welcome, the room had a nice view & temperature controlled. I enjoyed the fact that breakfast was served until 10.00
