I always check in late on Sundays and the check in process usually takes too much. I stay there very often but sometimes the bed sheets seem not to be changed, it is something I suspect. I also saw that in another hotel of the group. I dont know if it is intentionally to save some money, they dont seem much interested in guest's opinion. But it is very close to the U stations.
We stayed in this hotel for a week and we had a very comfortable and clean room, clear, large, a kitchen with all the necessary as was the bathroom. Two trams stops are just in front of the hotel going in the town and a tube stop very near. It's a very good location. I really recommend this hotel, because the service is also very good, everybody is very kind.
My wife and I stayed at the this Aparthotel for 3 nights whilst visiting Vienna. We wanted somewhere where we could relax and be more self-sufficient. The Adagio Vienna City did not disappoint. The Reception staff were very helpful when we checked in. The room was spacious, clean and the kitchenette was well equipped to enable us to self-cater. The Aparthotel was well located for transport into the city and for bus and boat tours etc. The Reception staff were very helpful when we asked them for directions and the best way to get to places we wanted to visit. The launderette was also very helpful so that we could continue our journey with clean laundry. We would certainly return and would recommend it.
My wife and I went for the studio and we were not disappointed: it is well equipped, clean bathroom, comfortable bed, reasonably sound-proof and with the available curtains you can get a decently darkened room to sleep. You can buy your grocers in nearby mini markets and keep them in the fridge, unless you decide to go for the 14EUR pp breakfast. Location is ideal for tram, subway and easy to arrive from the airport (bus to Morzinplatz or air-city train). A pre-booked taxi (arranged by the hotel) costs 39EUR and might be the better solution in case you have an early flight. As it is an apart hotel don't expect to be pampered, this is a place for independent travelers. We found it easier to get information on the internet (wifi connection is quite good) than asking in the reception. Would anyway recommend this place, as value for money is very honest.
Visited Vienna for business. Hotel is good for the price however the internet connection is extremely poor. You can barely check email it is so slow. We checked with the front desk and they confirmed the same. They even provided the front desk login for another guest for an important skype call and they still couldnt have a conversation the lag was so bad and that was with the fastest speed in the lobby. We went to the biggest telecom company in Vienna, A1 to buy a USB stick for internet at 7mb a sec (the fastest on offer) and it was still very difficult to even check emails. Skyping was out of the question which impacted my business capability severely. One important note to make. I spoke with 2 different A1 providers and they said the area of the hotel is part of the problem because it's where all the ministries are located and suck a huge amount of bandwidth. I dont know if this is the truth or not but I did take my laptop 10 blocks up the road to try it and it was still very poor. So the city may just be behind when it comes to internet speed although not even being able to check emails properly is pretty bad. My recommendation for those on business is to double check with any hotel before you book it to confirm their internet speed. I think being able to skype (perhaps not video skype) would be a good test to confirm with them. If internet is not a huge issue then I would give this hotel 4 stars however I filtered this hotel on Tripadvisor for "Business" so for that reason I am only giving it 3 stars.
