Decided to give the Novotel Lami Bay another go after an appalling experience last year. The hotel is in a fantastic location to where I do business whilst in Suva and is beautifully appointed. Unfortunately sound proofing is still a HUGE problem, this time it was the family directly below my room choosing to use their front garden/patio at all hours of the day. However, given my previous experience I had packed ear plugs which were a fantastic, and much needed help. Being a Le Club member I also enjoyed free wifi. My last visit I had to 'negotiate' for this, so to have it as a benefit of membership was pleasing. The front of house staff are extremely helpful and hard-working. All in all I will return.

It would not be fair to compare Lami Novotel Hotel, Suva, Fiji, to Novotel hotels elsewhere but a total overhaul is overdue. We stayed one night in one the ground floor rooms on the right-wing of the hotel facing the Bay of Islands. Whilst the most important bed rest/ sleep was really good, the bathroom facilities (cabinets, vanity basin, separate hot/cold water taps, towel rails) however were outdated and had seen better days. The whole bathroom on the small side for and the drone of its extractor fan tends gets to you whenever the bathroom light is switched on. In the room, the closet, bar fridge and general furniture are also absolutely outdated. The sea-view terrace could also use new outdoor furniture and daily maintenance routine for the gravel and palms trees separators. This is a personal review of the room we stayed in (Rm 303 it probably was) and maybe is limited to that room only.
The room was very clean and tidy, the amenities also and the service was excellent from the reception to the restaurant with all staff friendly and approachable. The location was very handy for all my business calls and customer locations, but the lack of a elevator creates problems when carrying your luggage with product samples and brochures in.
I was in Suva for 3 nights service was great but the bathrooms were not clean. food quality was poor with limited choice, but the facility was fine. close to town with taxi as the taxi is reasonable price.

A little far from Suva town. My only problem was I booked two rooms, a family of four and grandparents, and with hotel policy only 1 child per room it came as bit of a shock to find that the rooms were either end of the corridor. They could not have placed us further apart.
