"Perfect stay in Budapest"

We spent a very nice time my daughter and myselft in this hotel. Confortable room, breakfast buffet with a very large choice, quite, calm, silent in spite of the "rue piétonne" and so very well located, which allow great facility for the different places to visit. If I had to return to Budapest I might choose this hotel again.

My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay all the staff were friendly and helpfull the bedroomes were comfortable( could of been a little bit bigger).Breakfast was an experience the choice and the quality was excelent.We wouldn't hesitate to stay with you again in the future.The only negative was that the rooms were to warm.

"Girls on Tour in Budapest"

This hotel is in a shopping street in the Pest side of the city and is also very close to the river Danube, but you can't see it. We had an enjoyable stay and the hotel was very nice indeed, but the beds are very hard and give you backache. The staff are it's best asset. They are so polite and would do anything for you, except let you in the main door at night. I paid extra for a priveledge room and part of that was having bathrobes. These are made to fit skeletons with skin so be warned, if you are of average or lager size. They provide tea and coffee in priveledge rooms, but again beware, check out the tea bag situ first as there were 2 guestes, but only one proper breakfast tea bag, the others were herbal. You can get supplies though from the priveledge lounge on the first floor. There, you can also get fresh fruit, peanuts, crisps and pretzels, water, juice, tea and coffee and you can use the internet. The lounge is a nice area and you should use it if you want to make up for ill fitting bath robes and slippers. So get your money's worth. The maid will not clean your floor during your stay but will replace towels as long as you leave them on the floor, and the room was 'made nice' by he/she. I would certainly not buy drinks in the hotel bar as the prices are ridculous but all in all a nice stay. Would I pay extra again for certain priveledges??? I am not sure, but I would stay in this hotel again, if only for the Italian restaurant next door, where the food was excellent.

"A great Hotel in the Centre of things."

We stayed 4 nights and it was just as we expected, the shower room was a tad on the small side, but otherwise the room was very comfortable. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.The Location is excellent, right in the middle of the main pedestrian drag.with all the sights, excellent restaurants etc within walking distance.The only downside is that Accor inexplicable no longer accept Amex for advance internet bookings.

"Excellent location with reasonable costs"

This hotel is highly recommended with advance booking. It stands in front of the main shopping street and is pretty convenient both for business and leisure. It provides free Wi-Fi but its quality is to be improved.

Excellent location in central Pest for visiting all the city sights. Hotel was very quiet at this time of year, so good service was received throughout. Breakfast was good quality and very quiet - able to sit in window seat overlooking shops in vaci utca. Budapest can be very cold in February!!!

Our stay at Mercure Vity Center Hotel turned out to be a nice one, not only because we went there to celebrate a familymember, but the Hotel was a nice place to stay. Everywhere we went inside, it was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and service-minded. Breakfast ? Excellent ! The Standard double room we had, was not big, but quite nice, and the towels in the bathroom were changed every day. Should I mention one negative thing, it must be my first impression when we arrived by car : The Entrance from the street you were able to drive on, seemed to me a little "poor". But since the Hotel is located in an area with all the other streets made for pedestrians, with shops, restaurants, etc., it is a minor thing. You cannot have it all. We recommend Mercure City Center Hotel !

Access to hotel for luggage was through the back street and we managed to get overcharged by the taxi driver from the train station because he had difficulty finding it. Knowledge of use of A card and being an Accor member by front desk staff was not good. Bed was extremely hard and room overlooked three large pipes on the adjoining building. We found and handed in a an expensive computer left downstairs and not even a thank you was given. We travel extensively around the world and belong to the Accor group for its benefits. They could not even accommodate the use of our A Card points for breakfast. We were disappointed in the total stay. Location of hotel however was excellent as it opens onto a main pedestrian shopping mall.

The location is perfect, right in the middle of things. Short walk to the metro systems. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The free internet was an added bonus. We didn't stop at the bar, but it looked nice.

Very well located, with a spacious and comfortable room. Everything in our room was clean and well maintained. We did not try the breakfasts as we thought they were expensive compared to local cafes. We did appreciate the free internet, not usual in the Accor group.Friendly and helpful staff.
