Mercure Bristol Brigstow Hotel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great base to explore Bristol."

16th May 2012, Attrick, Milford Haven, United Kingdom

Another good weekend at the Brigstowe. We really enjoy the riverside location close to two great pubs in King Street. Staff very helpfull and the breakfast was as good as ever. We will no doubt return.

A great hotel well located in Bristol for access to the station, bars and restarants, particularly if you can get rooms at discounted prices. Have stayed on a number of occasions and would do so again

Mercure Bristol Brigstow Hotel: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Left something behind in the room but no one cares"

1st May 2012, eugenekl, Hong Kong, China

I sent an email and called the hotel front desk to ask if the housekeeper had found my thing. But got no reply. Do I need to travel 5000 miles back to UK in order to get a response?

Mercure Bristol Brigstow Hotel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "friendly and knowledgable staff"

16th April 2012, chrisandmatthew, London, United Kingdom

An excellent place to stay in Bristol. Right by the water, we had a great view from our window, and within walking distance of everything. The room was just about the right size, and the bathroom was large and well fitted. The breakfast was a good spread, especially considering there weren't many guests staying. However, the best thing of all was the staff. They were all without exception absolutely charming, and helpful. Next time I'm in Bristol I would definitely stay here again, and I've recommended it to friends and family.

Mercure Bristol Brigstow Hotel: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Ideal location with friendly helpful staff"

10th April 2012, Gill19ric, worcester

Stayed overnight as our son was getting married at 5pm and reception after at the Glass Boat (opposite the hotel). Staff were very considerate and allowed us to check in early so we could get ready for the wedding. Rooms were really comfortable, exceptionally clean and the view of the river was wonderful. Highly recommend staying at this hotel as the staff were so lovely and interested in the wedding. Breakfast was delicious with so much choice. We had several rooms as we are a large family and they were all together on the same floor and we could not have asked for more. A big thank you to all the staff.

Mercure Bristol Brigstow Hotel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Very Nice Hotel"

19th March 2012, Sue24, london

I used this hotel for a business trip for 1 night (got a good deal on the internet). Overall I found it very comfortable with a nice ambience. The room was clean and comfortable and the service good. Parking was in the local NCP car park (discounted for guests) behind the hotel. Not too sure exactly how close it is from the centre as I was attending event nearby the hotel, but the area was very nice right by the river! Would certainly stay again if I needed to.S Harris Bucks

Mercure Bristol Brigstow Hotel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Prices and WiFi"

13th March 2012, London

I stay regularly at the Brigstow and it irritates me when the room price goes up the later I book, so often I will go elsewhere because of that. In this instance, it suited me to stay there and I paid the premium as a result. All was fine with my stay, but I do get very annoyed now when asked to pay extra for WiFi, which should be free of charge nowadays - as it is in many hotels, pubs, restaurants etc. You charge enough for the room, surely trying to charge extra is a bit petty.

Mercure Bristol Brigstow Hotel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Lovely hotel"

9th February 2012, Exeter, United Kingdom

Friendly and helpful staff. A lovely location - great views of the river. We had a lovely stay. Breakfast price on arrival was far better than the advertised price. Bit disappointed that adverts said health club facilities - when we got there we found these to be in a separate facility down the road from the hotel.

Mercure Bristol Brigstow Hotel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good Location"

30th January 2012, BullenG, Hertford, United Kingdom

Good hotel in a great loction - short walk to St. Nicholas Mkt and numerous bars. The hotel offers a very good set meal - the fish of the day option when I stayed was Salmon which was very good.Look-out for their 1/2 board deals as these are very good value.

Mercure Bristol Brigstow Hotel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Back yard noisy"

18th September 2011, Geneva, Switzerland

It was rather a disagreeable surprise to find, when sttling into the very comfortable bed, that a lot of noise was coming from the internal courtyard at the back, from staff putting out bins, etc. And quite annoying that the window could not be shut. Little things that marred what was otherwise an excellent choice of hotel.

Mercure Bristol Brigstow Hotel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Fine and central."

2nd August 2011, WartyTasmania, Tasmania

Checked in a little early and the room was not quite ready. Checking in was a breeze and the tourist map that was given was used well over the next 4 days. The room was very clean and the bathroom was large and spacious. The bed was comfortable and I had no trouble sleeping. The Hotel is central for a lot of things in Bristol and I walked everywhere quite comfortably. I only ate one meal in the restaurant and that was breakfast on the last day. The only problem I had was when paying I wanted to use my travellers cheques. The information booklet in the room stated that the front office would exchange TC's but I was informed that cheques were not accepted. It was sorted out very efficiently but I had a credit of 15 quid which meant I had to eat breakfast the following morning. Other than that it was a very good hotel with very good staff.

The hotel was very clean and the service was good. We were upgraded to a room overlooking the river but it was very noisy during the night and from early in the morning. The location is very good near to everything. The breakfast was also good and food very fresh.
