Excellent Location on JBR walk but far from the city facing the sea. Contempary style of rooms but the size of room and bathroom were small .

Reservations was made through my A-member account for myself and my colleague. As there was no field to put up the name of the other person, I wrote the names of the 2 rooms in the comment field on the reservation. As I noticed on the confirmation received by e-mail that the comment field wasn't shown, i sent an e-mail to the hotel informing about the 2 different names of the 2 rooms booked. Reason for all this was the fact we were arriving from 2 different places at different time, and I wanted to assure my colleague was able to check in without difficulties.Reception had no information - of course - of the above, and it took a while for my colleague to check in 3 am, even though equipped with print out of reservation and my e-mail confirming the names.As we had different people contacting us at the hotel, we made several attempts to get my colleagues name registered to the room, but that was difficult.My colleague checked out one day earlier than me, last night I enjoyed a great dinner at the Italian restaurant, but experienced some issues as signing the bill in my name towards my room caused concern to the waiter, as all of a sudden, my room and whole reservation was then registered towards my colleague who already checked out.Confused? Me too!I might return to the hotel, though lots of noise from the street, I enjoyed the stay. Hope changing the name on the reservation wasn't done in order to my frequent stayer miles?A.D.

"Sofetel Dubai"

A great hotel good location plenty to do. The staff are awesome nothing is too much and they are so friendly, the hotel has good facilities. Just outside is a wee souk with an assortment of wares. The Marina shopping mall a short distance away around 15 mins or 5 mins by taxi. A good mall with the cinema showing all the latest films.Down town there is a wealth of designer shops as well as restaurants. Go and see the rather large fish tank in the mall by the Burj Khalifa and do not miss the musical fountain it is well worth a visit.

"best hotelbeds in the world"

Yes, it's true, those beds are the best I have encountered anywhere else. The rest of the hotel is okay as well, but you have to know that the location is about as far away as you can get from the airport, and that it can be very difficult to reach by taxi (depending on the time of day), as the beach road seems to be very frequently blocked with traffic.

"jumeirah beach sofitel"

Very nice stay.. Excellent service! A bit shadow at the pool area, but since its close to the beach its all good.. Nice view from the rooms and very good cleaning! If you want to have a romantic stay in a trendy area, this is the place!All in all a great hotel..

"Nice Hotel"

Booked Sofitel Jumeirah Beach for New Year and some relaxing days at the beach. Expected some better view to seaside. But generally nice, recommendable hotel. Public beach is ok, you only have to walk across the street and parking area. Beach equipment at the hotel.Disadvantage - daily traffic jam in the evenning - difficult to get taxi - calculate some extra time for walking to a better "strategic" pick up point.

"Great location"

Hotel is right at the beach. The location is great if you want do walk on sidewalk with lots of good options to eat. The location is bad to get in and out by car during the night because of the trafic at the beach street.

When we arrived our Club Room wasn't ready-no problem! Our butler happily upgraded us to the junior suite. 29 floors up, this room was a delight, with 2x balconies and amazing views along the beach and of the neighbouring palm island. The Milsieme Lounge comes highly recommended. The hotel could do a better job of explaining how good it is! The club rooms are at the top of the hotel so have better views, and there is great food available all day (including hot food). Free alcoholic drinks are also offered in the early evening, with some great champagne on offer. The hotel seems to have improved on the deck chair situation around the pool (from recent posts), and staff remove towels after half an hour, so there is no chair claiming. We found it easy to get seats at any time of the day. The location of the hotel is great, and walking along the promenade by the beach in winter was great. We also booked activities including a desert safari through the concierge and recommend that too. I will be staying here again when i return.

Great Great Great!!! I loved the hotel, location, staff.. everything was excellent flawless!! the room was a bit smaller of what I expected but it still niccce! the balcony view was breathtaking! the location is excellent for who luvs the night life! and beach

Great spot in Dubai - in the heart of the tourist strip with great places to eat (lots of diversity) and the beach across the road. Short taxi rides to all the shopping malls or tourist attractions.Absolutely excellent service - from concierge, doormen, house keeping etc. All round great experience.

take a taxi from airport-easy.best hotel chain-best heavenly beds.go to dubai mall-to 3rd floor-layfayette food hall.my husband got a reation to indian food in another shop.enjoy the shopping-not that cheap.great french cafes-cakes flown from france-many here...beach a bit bare in dubai.free shuttles-use them.too hot to access row of high end and middle bracket shops near hotel-better with a/c environment.
