Friendly straightforward hotel with an excellent location. Rooms are as you can expect at Ibis comfortable without frills. Friendly staff and a decent restaurant with a nice terrace overlooking the gulf. Shops and restaurants just a few steps from the hotel.

As a customer, I expected much more professionalism and comfort during my stay in Ibis. Most of the guests are business travelers to Kuwait who stays in Ibis. I was surprised to found out that there is no basic requirements like toiletries in the room and you wont believe that I had to go out and buy toothpaste and soap etc. at 12.30 midnight, since next morning I had a business meeting. Ibis is not a cheap hotel for that matter, and when you are charging reasonably good amount, you should provide these basic things to the customers. There is no room service also, which is okay to some extent and is manageable. Thank you, Joby
Dear Joby, Thank you very much for your efforts to answer to our questionnaire online . As for your feedback concerning ibis brand we take all the points on board for future consideration. Looking forward to welcome you again in near future. Sincerely, Eric Seso General Manager
I usually stay at Ibis Sharq, and compared to that Salmiya property is old, however the staff are extremely friendly. Donna / Sahil are a true asset to your hotel. I had issues with my internet, which was not solved until they had to finally change my room. I am a hotelier myself and know that these faults can happen, however I had to ask to be moved, which should not have been the case. I had booked 2 rooms, and the second room should have had twin beds, but it didn't. I had to ask that room to be changed as well. B fast was nice, chef was personally there to look after our needs. Transportation was arranged when needed. Overall a good stay. would rate it 7 out of 10......
Situated in a very convenient spot, this hotel was near to both places I wanted to visit for business, and to many great attractions. Helpful and welcoming staff. The room missed network cable to use if needed though.
the standard is the same for all ibis chain, small comfortable room, but the front desk is located in the 3rd floor. if you are the first time you may not understand where is the entrane and how you will got there
Stayed here recently and after a rocky start with room allocation (I'm Platinum and managed to get a low floor non-ocean facing room - but this was resolved once I mentioned it) the stay was otherwise good. The rooms are nice and modern and a good size, the air con worked perfectly and internet was reasonable. It did seem slow for normal use but I believe that's the country wide filtering in place, as using a VPN I managed to get a bit more speed out of it. Would happily stay here again. Is well suited for the area and close to a lot of shops/restaurants.
The hotel is nice location is good all services is near by hotel good stuff but no car parking there is mall all around the hotel and the beach is 10 minutes by wake from hotel I like the stay there and I recommend it for my friend's with out cars
Dear Guest, Thank you for your review posted on Tripadvisor website. It is genuinely appreciated. We acknowledge the challenge we face with regard to the carpark in our area and I do apologise for any inconvenience caused. For the record, there is a paying carpark in the basement, unfortunately, it is not managed by the hotel. Once again thank you for your feedback. We all look very much forward welcoming you again soon. Sincerely Bruno Debray General Manager
Ibis Salmiya is perfectly located near good cafes, restaurants and shopping. It's a busy part of town and everyone knows where to meet when you mention the Ibis Salmiya or a nearby cafe. Accommodation itself is of an excellent standard: reliably and immaculately clean. The breakfast is heavenly. I've been choosing Ibis Salmiya for my annual visits to Kuwait for the past 5 years. Ibis will be my future choice too!
I visited this hotel for a recent business trip to Kuwait. The hotel was clean, easy to find and offered good service for a reasonable price. The rooms are basic but it is a budget hotel but they are fine for a short trip.
The service by the staff was good, especially I would like to commend Roshni at the reservations. The restaurant food and service was no that great. Please note that the entrance to the hotel has a slippery surface (with cleaners leaving wet areas) and this makes it difficult to trolley the luggage. It can be a cause for accidents.
Dear Guest, Thank you for your efforts to share your experience during your recent stay at ibis Salmiya. It is very much appreciated. With regard to the slippery surface on the entrance of the building, I have advice the company in charge of the clealiness to pay attention to this point. Thank you once more for your contribution. Looking forward to welcome you again soon. Yours sincerely Bruno Debray General Manager
My second trip to Kuwait, staying at this excellent hotel. We held a couple of meetings in the lobby area, without being bothered. Central location was perfect. Price is great value. Breakfast served from 4AM-12noon. Great for business people. Professional, friendly staff. For small fee, early arrival and airport transportation are available.
Welcome at hotel was poor. Hotel could not aut haveorise credit card fir some reaaon and insisted on taking cash. Following morning problem was cured. Duty Manger on a later ocasion was exxellent at helping us find our destinati In.
Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your effort to share the feedback on Tripadvisor website. It is regrettable that your credit card was declined upon checking you in. Fortunately it worked the day after but we dont know what was the reason for it. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. Looking forward to welcome you again in near future. Yours sincerely Bruno Debrray General Manager
the best thing i like about this hotel is the location, everything is near , restaurants, supermarkets, malls and theaters. But the parking is an issue , without forgetting that the rooms are a bit small.
Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your effort to share your experience on Tripadvisor website. It is truly appreciated. With regard to the carpark, please note that it is not under the hotel management. Looking forward to welcome you again soon. Yours sincerely Bruno Debray General Manager
The Hotel is great for the price you are paying the rooms are clean and it has the essentials basic needs for sleeping it's a self service hotel most of the day we were out and only came in to sleep :)
very nice hotel , staff, and good location also. hotel is in the hart of town , very nice view , very clean, very friendly staff , nice breakfast rate per day is much better than other hotel in Kuwait.
Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your positive feedback posted on Tripadvisor website. It is truly appreciated and will be shared with the team indeed. We all are looking forward to welcome you again in near future. Yours sincerely Bruno Debray General Manager
The overall experience was very good. Mind you I was on a low budget business trip to Kuwait and this hotel has provided very good value for money. The reception is manned professionally. The receptionists are pleasant, polite and efficient. All of them and consistently. The room is clean and functional. Very good for a short business trip, but don't think of taking your partner on a romantic week-end there. The free WIFI is fast and available in the room and everywhere around the hotel. 5 Stars for that one when compared with European hotels (who have a bad habit of charging for internet). The downsides were minor, here is a short list: 1. The breakfast is awful including the coffee. I paid an arm and a leg for such a poor quality. Tip, there is a Starbucks just down the road, have your breakfast there for a fraction of the price and get superior food and coffee. 2. The safe is nailed to the floor inside the wardrobe at a funny angle. I had to crawl to program the safe and every time I had to place or remove items. Not practical nor hygienic since I had to lie on the floor face down.
Dear Guest, Thank you very much for the valuable comment posted on Tripadvisor website. It is truly appreciated. I take note of your remark with regard to breakfast too. Thank you once again for your feedback. We all are looking forward to welcome you again soon. Yours sincerely Bruno Debray General Manager
This hotel is a good Hotel nearby the Salmyiah city center and nearby Kuwaity capital city. There are some free cars parking but always full. There are some parking with one US$ per hour and there are a parking for 12 hours but I forget how much. The rooms are good and big compair with other Ibis Hotels.
