"Business trip to Geneva"
16th September 2013, shejta, Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina
I spent 5 nights in this hotel without any issue. Everything is OK, from reception to clean room and other services. I recommend this hotel for Stay in Geneva. Near is big shopping mall and almost every 5 min is bus or troly to city center.
"Good Budget Hotel"
6th September 2013
Having seen the reviews before booking there were no surprises. We stayed for 3 nights and had absolutely no problems. The important thing was to have a clean and comfortable place to rest and sleep. The Tram station is very close by with a very regular service and a straight ride into town. The hotel even provides free public transport passes for each day of your stay which we used on trams and LOCAL boat rides across lake geneva. We'd be happy to come back to this hotel. The only downside was the car parking which I found to be a little on the expensive side (yes I know its Switzerland!!... but still...).A special thanks to the Manager : I was charged twice by the Ibis online system and the Manager authorised the refund on arrival (unlike another Ibis budget hotel in Bern)
"Will come again"

Good value for money! Free daily ticket for public transport within city. Simple but very clean room. Parking CHF 18.-/dayVery friendly reception, but WIFI complicated with Code and Code always rejected....
"Good but a bit annoying"

So, the hotel is good and the rooms are OK. However, as everything in Geneva, is is extremely expensive for what it actually offers. Around 110CHF without any food, With free wi-fi. And as it is compulsory in Geneva, they also give you a tram/bus ticket for your whole stay. They plant a tree for every five reused towels. However, even though I tried to reuse them following their instructions, I got them changed every day.You must ask for a new wi-fi password every day. But it is free. The shower has a hole in the door (where the handle should be), that let's all the water go out. Also the shower-head holder did not hold the shower head in place...If you pay with a foreign card, don't let them do the conversion to your currency for you. It is not a robbery because you accept, but the exchange rate is crazy.Friendly staff. They know at least English and FrenchI would recommend crossing the French border and staying there, but if necessary, this hotel is OK and very well communicated by tram and bus, and with a shopping centre and supermarket in front of it.
"Good Value for money"

Ibis hotel is good value for money in a very expensive city like Geneva. Its placed right opposite the Balaxert shopping complex, which makes it very convenient. Further, the No 10 bus stops right in front of the hotel and therefore getting about is pretty easy. The Same bus can bring you to the hotel from the Airport in 10 mins.Whilst the room was pretty small it had everything you need to have a comfortable night.. Bathroom and toilet were good and extremely clean. Staff was also pretty helpful and customer oriented.Wifi is also available in the room, although you have to log in to authenticate with your password every 24 hours. Speed offered was pretty good. No toiletries are given with the hotel room except soap, so be sure to carry some with you. The breakfast spread offered was not that appealing. Therefore booking without breakfast may be a good option. You can always pay and have breakfast.Overall if you are looking for a short economical stay Ibis is a good option to consider.
"An enjoyable stay"
28th January 2013, Reisefieber_9, Poole, Dorset
After booking, the hotel should advise guests - especially first timers - that travel on the no. 10 trolley bus from the airport or the city centre is free - as the hotel issues travel passes when checking in - hence no airport shuttle buses. The trolley bus stops are at the cross roads where the hotel is located - very convenient.Shower, toilet and wash basin (open in room) are small but manageable. Rooms clean, but not much available when wishing to read the newspaper or a book in a comfortable chair.
"not too good not too bad"

Rooms are extremely small but very clean.it will get crowded if more than one person is in the room. Very POOR WiFi signal throughout the hotel. Good thing about the hotel is the location. its close to the airport and right across from the shopping center.
"Etap Geneva- good prices, terrible service at reception...take a chair to sit down while you wait!"
4th December 2012, David928uk, Zug, Switzerland
Very good prices, average cleanliness, depending on luck...Have stayed in a non-smoking room that was stinking of cigarette smoke, have stayed another time when the smell from the toilet (blocked drains?) was awful....but have also stayed in nice rooms also.Receptionists are awful! No second thought for client time and service.View management response »

"Excellent value, great location"

Good price, no frills hotel. Decent size rooms, clean, quiet. Very good location across the road from the Balexert shopping centre. On bus line 10 running from airport to centre of Geneva, 5min walk to tram linking Geneva to CERN. Great for business trips.View management response »
