Novotel Bristol Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Novotel"

15th February 2013, ejmapstone1, Chipping Campden, United Kingdom

Very nice hotel. Winter reduced rate bargain! Bed was comfortable. Perfect for walking into the centre of Bristol and for getting the train, One of the glasses in the room had lipstick on it from previous occupant but otherwise very clean. I would stay there again.

Novotel Bristol Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Dogs allowed - but at a price and no facilities"

7th February 2013, rickthedoc, London

Excellent location, large underground carpark (£10 per day) and the staff are great. Breakfast buffet is expensive but then the porridge is excellent and the poached eggs cooked exactly. Dogs are allowed. we stayed 2 days and had to pay £30 for his board and cleaning. Now in the room we everything you would expect for your stay but despite allowing dogs and aking not an insignificant charge there were no facilities for the dog. No dog menu or even a water bowl or biscuit.

Management responseThank you for your comments, I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Regarding the charge for dogs, this is to cover the cost of deep cleaning the room after departure. I have noted your comments, thank you for your suggestions. Tim Howes, General Manager

Good business hotel, Food lovely in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet excellent and staff helpful but no free WIFI and charge for car parking. Location good for city centre and transport links rail and motorway.

Nice hotel in the centre of Bristol - excellent room and breakfast. Well situated for exploring bristol. Very good service. Staff were polite and helpful. Room was clean and well presented. Only downside is there is limited carparking in the hotel carpark. Otherwise very good hotel.

Novotel Bristol Centre: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Friendly, clean and good value"

7th August 2012, justmusic, Leeds

We stayed here for a couple of nights with our two young children and my parents. We were able to book interconnecting rooms which was really useful as we could put the children to bed then retire to my parents' room to watch the Olympics.Everything about the room was fine - bed was comfy enough and it was all clean. With the double sofa bed extended the room was a bit cramped but not insurmountable. We could have done with a bit more shelf space for clothes though - we had to leave a fair amount in the suitcases. We didn't eat in the restaurant as there's a decent Wetherspoons (Knights Templar) less than 5 mins walk away. There we were able to get breakfast for all six of us for around £20. The hotel wanted £15 each (kids free though)!Location wise, it's ideal for Temple Meads station (5 mins) and the ferry services round to SS Great Britain (highly recommended). Car parking is secure and costs £10 per 24 hours. I couldn't find anything better value when I searched. We paid £57 per room per night, which was cheaper than the Travelodges, HI Express and Premier Inn. With the bonus of interconnecting rooms this was excellent value.

Novotel Bristol Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Visiting Family"

7th August 2012, JohnexRM, Worthing, United Kingdom

This was our second stay in an hotel in Bristol and we both enjoyed it very much. The hotel was well situated and comfortable. The staff were all very helpful and polite. We were on a special Accor package which included a complimentary buffet breakfast which we thought was very good value. We were thinking of staying in the Mercure but maybe next time , although I would be happy to stay here again. Parking at £10 per 24 hours I thought fairly reasonable. You can park outside across the road ,it's free between 6.00pm and 8 am. if you want to get up early!
