"Handy hotel for Mulhouse-Bale Airport"

Booked this hotel due to an early flight at Mulhouse-Bale airport.Clean hotel with friendly staff.Taxi was arranged free of charge by the hotel to drive me to the airport in the morning.The drive took less than 10 mins.Very easy and convenient for early flight.However avoid the hotel restaurant! The concept restaurant is bad: you have to order via a computer screen located on the bar and get up to collect your tray when the food is ready. And the food was blank. Quiet disappointing when the only thing you went at the end of a trip is an easy meal and go to sleep.

Shame no tea/coffee facility in room - as in UK. Also, "Free airport pick-up" was only at certain times when leaving - so you could arrange a free aiport pick-up at 20:00, but not a free return at 14:30* - strange.*We asked for a taxi at 2.30pm (and wrote down 2:30PM) to take us to the airport - and then we were awoken at 2:30 AM by the night receptionist to tell us that our taxi had arrived!
"Ideal Hotel for Basle & France"

Had a pleasant stay in this centrally located hotel in St Louis, a few kilometres from Basel airport. There is a local bus from the airport to the railway station and then you can walk to the hotel ( a good 10mns) or take a local bus to the centre of St Louis. The room we had was fairly large and comfortable and the buffet breakfast was very good; it put us in good stead for the rest of the day. St Louis is very close to Basle; there is a frequent bus service from the town to the City centre and it is a good way to avoid exhorbitant Swiss prices. The German border is also within easy reach by public transport. and, of course, you can take the train to Mulhouse and connect for Colmar and Strassburg. A real great location and hotel.

My wife and I had two nights here. It was a business/leisure trip. It's 10 minutes by car from the airport - although you will need directions first time because it's not well signed. We were delighted. The room was comfortable, quiet and spotless. The staff could not have been more helpful and the breakfast is great value and top quality.

The only complaint I had about this hotel was the shower. When you turned the shower on, the water would drain out onto the bathroom floor. I had to lay a towel down and it got soaked. Very strange how they planned that so poorly. Otherwise the room was sufficient. Nothing big, but nothing in Europe is, as we found out. We wanted something close to the Basel Airport and it was very close and easy to find.

Good stop-over location when travelling from the UK to Italy by car. Secure garage facilities are available. Comfortable rooms although noisy on Saturday night due to having the window open as the air conditioning was not switched on. Ibis hotels should not advertise air conditioned rooms when the air connnditioning is not functional the whole year round. The staff were helpful and friendly and the restaurant was good. The dog enjoyed his stay on both outward and return trips. There is a veterinary Surgery in the next street which will check and certify you dog for re-entry into the UK.
