ibis Madrid Alcorcon Tresaguas: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Nice hotel"

20th February 2012, Istanbul

I really liked this hotel, its a little far from the city center but no other downsides. Worth the money. If I go to Madrid again I can choose it again without hesitation.

ibis Madrid Alcorcon Tresaguas: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Location OK, Ibis quality, good for drivers"

27th January 2012, St. Petersburg, Russia

Despite being somewhere outside Madrid, it's really 25 min from Atocha. Ideal for car travellers wishing to see a bit of Madrid.Beware that the gates of the Jose de Valderas station adjacent to Corte Ingles are closed on Sunday, enter the station from another side.

ibis Madrid Alcorcon Tresaguas: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Outstanding value for drivers"

21st July 2011, Sherbrooke, QC

The hotel offers a better value for the money than the discount Etap for those who drive to Madrid, as it offers free parking. The rooms are reasonably spacious and very clean. The staff are friendly and efficient, and speak more than reasonable English. The breakfast is good and reasonably priced at EUR 6.50. Good quality, full Internet access can be had for EUR 5 for 24 hours. The area is a bit industrial (countless car dealers surround the hotel) but it offers excellent access to downtown Madrid. Indeed, the suburban train stop is at less than 10 minutes walking distance (the San Jose de Valderas stop which is actually closer than the Alcorcon stop) and the said train gets you into the heart of Madrid in about 20 minutes with no changeover (don't take the subway as it is only marginally cheaper and requires at least three changeovers). You also get a supermarket within walking distance if you feel like it (near the train stop).Overall, we found the hotel an outstanding value for money for budget-minded drivers visiting Madrid (if we did not arrive by car we would have probably tried Etap instead). Will not hesitate to book again if we are around.
