« good value for money, but... »

The hotel lobby is a construction site in march 2016, with a front-desk-wannabe in the hallway of the 1st floor and the breakfast area moved to a tent outside. The "extra bed", unlike other Ibis hotels in other parts of Europe, is in fact more of a narrow bench where I doubt any parent would let his child sleep. Not even close to Ibis in central and eastern Europe.

« FAILURE TO HONOUR 15 MINUTES SATISFACTION GUARANTEE »

Arrive on 1Jan16. On 2Jan16 at 08.30 no hot water in room. informed hotel told hot water available in 15 minutes then informed by hotel no hot water for for a number of hours. Left hotel 11.15 both dirty and unbathed. on 3Jan16 was informed I would be contacted by the hotel and Refund given. I have heard nothing!

« Room with a view »

We were given a first floor room in this hotel with a view of the surroundings and we liked it. It is a bit surprising that tripadvisor has not kept any space/ option for giving a good rating in various attributes of hotels. Which means if you want to give a rating higher than average, you have to give a very good rating, which may not be correct all the time. The converse is also true. Overall, I would rate this hotel as a good hotel for a short stay.

« Well located & welcoming »

While holidaying at Nerja we wanted to visit the Alhambra and felt that a coach excursion would be too restrictive in the time available to explore all the features of this fascinating complex. Instead, we booked a hire car and the Ibis hotel. We found the hotel quite easily and the welcome was very warm. Although basic by modern hotel standards, we were very comfortable and the bed was excellent. The receptionist was very helpful with a city map and how to use the buses.

« Excellent Stay »

The Ibis Granada was one of the surprising highlights of our tour of Spain this year. We use Ibis hotels extensively on our trips abroad as we tour on a motorcycle. They are consistent, you know what to expect and represent excellent value for money. However, the staff at the Ibis Granada were Brilliant, particularly Daniel who was a font of knowledge on Granada, the area and places to go. The welcome we received was second to none and free tapas served up with our much needed thirst quencher at the bar. Carmen was also great and really helpful as well. We stayed here for 2 nights and it was a much more pleasant than one or two others we have stayed at this trip for less money. I would certainly recommend it. The ONLY downside is the distance from the centre and things to see but for around 10€ you can get a taxi which they will happily order from reception, which we did on the first day. Return taxi is around 7€ as they don't charge for the outbound trip to collect you from the hotel. Seems strange but that's how it works but also good value. The second day we walked into town and walked back, it's a good walk but you do see everything while on foot.

« Quality Low Cost »

Hotel with swiming pool. Only one star with good services. It deserves more stars. To park nearby is not a problem and that's the question I don't understand. Why you have to pay to use the parking when there is so much places to park. It's no sense...

« Nice, small hotel »

The location of hotel is very good particularly you are travelling by car.Hotel has very cheap parking facility under the hotel, which is very rare and expensive in Andalucia region of Spain. Close to historical center, reachable in 10 minutes by bus. Staff is very friendly and hotel is very clean.

« IBIS GRANADA »

I very much enjoyed my stay. The hotel is about a 30+ minute walk to downtown but buses are a short distance away. The hotel is actually located on the fringes of a commercial district and has access to a major arterial road. Carmen (tall with glasses) at the front desk was very helpful and great to deal with. There is a very nice pool on the top floor, a great place to relax after a day's site seeing. I found the bed a bit too firm, the mattress was typical Accor hotel, a bit thin. Coffee is available 24 hours a day. They have a nice little bar that is also open 24 hours a day. The bar serves draft beer, a selection of spirits and wines but no Sangria. They do serve meals from a limited menu and while I did not dine-in I peaked at others who did and the food seemed well prepared with decent portions. If you like to pack a picnic lunch for your site-seeing walks there is a Carrefour a few minutes away with everything from A to Z. All-in-all I had a good stay and was well treated. If I return to Granada I will stay at the hotel.

« IBIS GRANADA »

Very tricky to find as there were very few signs. Likewise, leaving the hotel for say Alhambra involved a complicated drive up the motorway, off the motorway, back along the motorway as there was not an off and on ramp by the hotel. The staff was friendly and the room and services clean and efficient. However, we did run into a problem when leaving as we had been told that we could use underground parking but had not been told it would cost 5 euros per night. We objected to this and to be fair, they waived the charge but they should have made it clear that parking was at a cost. Overall a pleasant hotel with pleasant staff.

« Travel stopover »

Convenient stop over travelling to the Algarve. Usual Ibis standards. Nothing much around the hotel itself but having a large Carrefour within 3 mins walk solved our problem. Hotel ha s a restaurant with a limited menu.

« Expected better from a well used hotel chain »

My wife and myself have travelled Europe for some years now staying at many different Accor Group hotels including Ibis, Novotel and Mercure. The Ibis Granada was not the best we have stayed at. We were allocated room 108. We had driven a long way from Sevilla so had short sleep in the afternoon. When my wife went to put her shoes on she spotted lots of ants on the floor. We immediately called reception who arrived straight away and moved us to room 101. We were also offered a drink at the bar as a sort of apology. However, we never took this up. The next day after a long day out visiting the sights of Granada we decided to eat at the restaurant at the hotel. We arrived at 9 pm and were told we would have to wait about 40 minutes. We got a soft drink from the bar and were given a bowl of potato crisps while we waited. After about 10 minutes we were told that we could now sit at a table and order food. I ordered the hamburger but was given no choice of rare, medium or well done. It was rare! The waiter was obviously overworked but still managed to remain friendly and helpful. We may visit Granada again next year but will pay a little more to avoid this particular Ibis.

« Granada-visit »

small nice hotel with (very) friendly staff, easy access from airport by car (approx 20km) on outskirts of Granada, good parking facilities. Easy bus-connection to city-centre so no hassle with your own car. We stayed 3 days to attend a wedding in Granada, the staff was very helpful with advise on how to get to the wedding-location and with the equipment to iron and fix the clothes etc.
