"Good Value for Money"
8th May 2012, TPMtravels, Dorchester, United Kingdom
A good base for Northampton. The Ibis is conveniently located for the town centre and next to several car parks, for which you need to pay.

"Northampton in March"
10th April 2012, Aberdeen, United Kingdom
I stayed at the Northampton Ibis for 1 night before booking into the Northampton Park Inn Hotel for 4 nights on business. The Park Inn is of course far more expensive, but doesn't really give much more in value for the business traveller.

"No sleep I'm afraid"
26th February 2012, Swansea, United Kingdom
The Ibis Hotel in Northampton is fine overall. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and well laid out and the food is above average.Sadly, the room in which I stayed (Room 410) must be very near to a large extractor fan of some sort, or something similar as there was a constant low frequency noise and vibration in the room. In fact, you could actually feel the vibration through the headboard of the bed meaning that sleep was very difficult and I woke up with a headache each morning after what little sleep I'd managed. The Ibis is fine and great value for money but if you book there, ensure that you are not given any rooms in the vicinity of 410, if you are, insist on another room and you should be fine.

I felt this was excellent value for money. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. Staff were helpful and polite. Fine for an overnight business stay. Would use again if I return to the area.

"Ibis nrthampton"
19th January 2012, Wellingborough, United Kingdom
Hotel was clean and adequate as well as value for money. Unfortunately the guests opposite were extremely noisy and lewd during the early hours of the morning. Staff could have dealt with this earlier and with less disruption to other guests.

"Great location and good value for money"
15th January 2012, Manchester, United Kingdom
Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel offers small selection of meals. Access from multi-storey car park via lobby restaurant & bar make them a bit draughty. Location just off town centre make it ideally placed for evening meals in one of the many excellent eateries. Rooms clean and adequate. No armchair(s). Good value, no complaints from me!

"It's a Budget hotel..."
13th January 2012, Reading, United Kingdom
This is of course a budget hotel which is just "to the side" of the centre of Northampton and so there are are plenty of bars, pubs and restaurants within 1-15 mins walk. Being budget means that the rooms are sparse but have all you need, simple beds (but I wish they would use fitted sheets so the sheets don't ruck up underneath you at night), and don't have extras like ironing boards in the room. If you want more, ("luxury") go and pay 2-3 times more than this is costing.

"Decent for short trips"
30th September 2011
The good thing about Ibis hotels is that you know what you're getting. The room was comfortable (although the bed was quite light, and squeaked a lot), and clean. The wi-fi was an interesting experience, as you have to go onto the Orange France's website to pay for an internet package, and the TV channels are basic. But it's fine to stay for a few days. And the breakfast is nice - full English or croissants, etc. (which were very fresh). The best thing is how central it is: 3 minutes walk from the railway station, 7 minutes walk to the central square/high street, 10 minutes walk to the central bus station, and bus stops right outside the hotel.

"Yeah, OK"
5th September 2011, Grimsby, United Kingdom
Town Centre budget hotel - pretty much met expectation. No iron in room caused some dismay for colleague and a bit of creased-shirt angst.Cooked element of the breakfast very poor and frankly, not good enough. Solid scrambled eggs, one day baked beans (good thing), next day tinned tomato slop (bad thing).Location great if you want to be in the middle of Northampton but would be lying if I said I would rush back. Probably only reason to recommend would be for two restaurants across the road, Sorrrentino (Italian) and the Thai, name of which I can't remember, but both excellent.

"my stay in Northampton Ibis hotel"
4th September 2011, Greater London
Very pleasant hotel, rooms clean and staff very nice. The restaurant menu could be better. Breakfast whilst very enjoyable, was very limited, for instance one morningI asked if I could have a fried or boiled egg, and I was told that it was not possible, however the lady did offer to make me some baked beans. We had a little bit of a problem getting channel 5 on the television, and there was quite a bit of noise comming from upstairs. On the whole good value for what I paid.

"Not again"
11th August 2011, Cologne
The room to the back I was given faced some fans which were quite loud. Even more so because the window wouldn't close completely. The front desk staff was nice enough to move me to a different room facing the street which proved to be a lot quieter even with the pubs and it both being weekend nights. There's no air conditioning in the room and it was rather hot in there even though it wasn't that hot outside. Can't imagine how stuffy it must get in there when it's a hot summer day.It would be great if they added a trash can to the rooms other than the small one in the bathroom. I imagine it would be a lot more efficient for the housekeeping staff if they didn't have to collect things from all over the room...Speaking of the housekeeping staff, I don't know how you can miss black hair on the white towels, white pillow or the shower cabin but there they were. I'd at least expect a clean room even in a budget hotel. Was woken by an alarm coming from the tv set in the room on both mornings. I did not set it nor did I ask the staff for an alarm to be set. I asked the staff to make sure to switch it off for the second day as I had wanted to sleep in and not have a repeat of morning number 1. Needless to say the alarm went off again on day two as well. What a joke. The only positive thing I have to say is that the beds were comfortable. Everything else was one big disappointment. I've stayed at a lot of Ibis hotels before and most are just fine. This one was one of the worst hotels I've stayed at.

"ibis northampton june 2011"
27th June 2011, gary085, lincolnshire
very good location close to town centre, car park is municipal but if you take the ticket to reception the next morning you can get a discount rate of £5.50 for 24hrs.the staff are very nice, any requests are acted upon very punctually, the breakfast & evening meals are good quality at reasonable prices, the only problem is if it is hot, the rooms are normally warm so when it gets hot the only relief is a fan they provide.

"Room fine, breakfast awful"
24th June 2011, MILTON KEYNES
Rooms clean, showing the odd sign of needing some mastic gun. Towels like cardboard. Party in room down corridor but was going out so did not matter. Quiet during night. Room too hot as no air-con and not even that hot outside. Breakfast awful. £7.50 and not all of the adveristed food was available, the hot food was in little plastic containers which were nearly empty and contained burned bacon, very low quality sausage and no scrambled eggs available. Breakfast area a corridor to the car park so not relaxing. Radisson breakfast is much better and not much more. However if only want the room would be fine as a one off. Worth about £40 for the room and not £57 though.

"Good quality Ibis"
8th February 2011, Preston
Overall very happy, higher quality than other Ibis I have stayed at. Only point is that you have to pay £5 for the overnight carparking. Accept this isnt their carpark, but would have thought you get a concession.

"Good centralized hotel"
3rd December 2010, Cardiff
The ibis is a good hotel, situated very close to the town center.Rooms were clean, and was good value for money, however an electrical socket was broken in the room with parts exposed. We reported this on the friday and told it would be sorted saturday, however nothing had been done as of the monday when leaving. Also there was a random very loud noise every so often, but generally had a good stay, and suited us for the purpose of our trip.
