"Concert trip"
20th May 2012, Alexcar, Shrewsbury
Overall our stay at this Ibis was a pleasant one. The bar area should be much larger considering the number of rooms - trying to get a drink on times was bedlam; also the cost of parking our car - £45 for 3 nights is expensive and you have to go to the hotel next door to pay!
"Not worth the money I paid"
18th May 2012, dwaynesonos, London, United Kingdom
I spent two days at the hotel, where I payed well over two hundred pounds. For that price I expected some sort of quality. When I entered my room I was absolutely shocked. The rooms were dated and had a musty smell. The bathroom (or more like a porto cabin toilet) was basic. I felt very uncomfortable after a long days work. The breakfast was limited and didn't look appetizing. The tables were unclean and then to top it off, as I was leaving they had a notice to advise guests they could get breakfast for only a fiver, when I had ordered online and paid 7.50 per day for breakfast. The hotel would be worth it if it was less than Seventy Pounds per day!!
"excellent for excel but not for central london"
8th May 2012, auditgirly, sussex, england
i booked at an advanced rate that included internet and breakfast and they tried to charge me again for internet on the way out. sorted it ok but still. price wasnt cheap at 96 quid all in. i know they justify it by saying this is london but this hotel is a good hour outside of the central london sights. this hotel is great for excel though. compact bijou rooms but tastefully decorated. pod wardrobes and bathrooms. air con wasn't on when i stayed at start of may - is it seasonal? - but luckily the weather was more autumn than spring. the breakfast buffet is strangely laid out and only one coffee machine for a hotel this size is wholly inadequate. breakfast is busy so early or late will avoid the crush. 3 corner shops within short walking distance - nisa, londis and tesco express if you want diy food. restaurants also nearby but i didnt use them so cant comment on prices. pleasant walks along the docks if you like to stroll in the evenings. oh and hotel is under the london city airport take off flight path from 630am to 10pm ish. but sound is muffled by double glazed windows.

"Mistakes Are Punished Severely"
9th April 2012, Tom061, San Francisco, California, USA
I booked a room for one night through the IBIS web site and confused the date by one night. The hotel refused to change the reservation date to the night before (which was what I had intended to book) and argued that the booking was Non Refundable...even when I went out to the hotel (in the middle of no where) to speak with the manager. They would not even credit the charge for that night at another IBIS hotel.

Management responseDear GuestI am sorry that on this occasion you were disappointed with your reservation at the Ibis London Excel Docklands. It was unfortunate that the wrong date was booked at the pre paid non cancellable rate. Please be asured that our cancellation policies are not for the purpose of punishing our clients, it is simply none cancellable because the online rates are much lower than the rates booked directly at the hotel. I hope we have the chance to welcome you back to us to a good stay and please remeber on our website there are several rates offered with both flexible and none flexible cancellation policies. My Kind regards, Mr Jihed Lejmi

"Ibis"
15th March 2012, Davcru, Manchester
Decent hotel, travel links into central London good. £15.00 car park fee overnight for staying guests, is expensive, on top of cost of accomodation, so may make it not such a good deal.

great location for conference. Room very warm, opened windows to noise of planes early morning. Bed and pillows not great. Shower wouldn;t stay at one temperature and kept slipping down the frame. Got good deal so value fine.

"worst hotel i have ever stayed inn, never again will i return to this hotel."
12th March 2012, sheffield
This is hotel was awful, i was told there was parking once i had got there i was told i was not allowed to park in the car park even with spaces and even though the parking had been paid for, then after trying to sort parking out i got passed around 5 different memebers of staff at the hotel and had to reapet myself to all the different staff which i never got anything sorted. I can not describe how awful the service at this hotel was. not one of them could understand english which was not very useful as no one knew what to do or what i was saying to them. Do not go to this hotel if you want a stress free trip, Premier Inn Excel docklands is by far a better service and i have never had a problem with them unlike this hotel.

"Touristic weekend London"
16th February 2012, Brussels, Belgium
The breakfast has improved from the last time my partner stayed there (he was on his own the last time). He told me it was really inedible the last time and there was very little choice. It is more expensive though - and that, coupled with the fact that we had to pay for the parking made that this financially attractive room finally became more expensive than a hotel we have also used where the parking + breakfast is included. The room is rather nice and spacious but I find it incredibly hard to sleep in your beds possibly due to plastic being put under the sheets for the cleanliness point of view but this means that I sweat due to this plastic during the night and wake up many times.

"My impressions"
14th February 2012, Paris, France
I liked the Ibis London Excel-Docklands very much. At first I was concerned that the hotel was too far from the center of London, but then I discovered that the DLR and the Underground functioned very efficiently and that the location of the hotel was not a problem. The hotel itself was like all Ibis hotels, that is, very pleasant.

"great"
2nd February 2012, London, United Kingdom
Really Nice Environment and going to stay again on 5th of February. 2012.I love this hotel. Service is excellent, Love to book a nice holiday with this company. Customer service and their bar and restaurant are just fabulous. Another reason is its very close to the train station and close to city airport.
"Overbooked"
29th January 2012
On arrival we were told there was a problem with the electricity and they had to close some of the rooms, when really they had just overbooked us and quite a few other people. We had to go to the Ibis Barking, although they did arrange transport for us.Still not good enough when you book 3 months in advance.
"Good if you do not have high expectations"
24th January 2012, Nantes, France
I loved the room, but the cleaning lady was running in the corridor and beating the door when vacuuming, which was very very disturbing at 9am. I was also disappointed by the restaurant. The breakfast was perfect, with a lot of choices and quantities, but for lunch it was tepid, and I bet it was not hand-cooked. Receptionists were very helpful and very nice. To conclude, I think this hotel is beautiful, we slept very well during the night, but some things were very disturbing, so do not go there if you do expect good stuff from the food and some of the employees.
"Just right for location and value"
10th January 2012, Dronskiuk1, Great Yarmouth, United Kingdom
Located next to the Exhibition I visited. The staff were efficient and friendly and were able to accommodate my earlier arrival. The room was as with all IBIS hotels was functional and comfortable and the wifi was quick and not exorbitant. Ideal for ExCel visiting or working.
"GREAT HOTEL"
9th January 2012, Birmingham, United Kingdom
Great service here - member of staff helped me with the Ironing Room, and the restaurant staff were apologetic when they made a mistake on my food order. All in all - smiley, friendly, polite well trained staff all around. I'd definitely stay again. (only downside is the beds could be a bit more comfortable tho!)
"Good quality hotel within London Excel Docklands area"
9th January 2012, Southampton, United Kingdom
Room and bathroom were clean and beds were very comfortable. Service and food was excellent and staff were courteous. Buffet breakfast was good value for money. Only negative point was the draught beer in the bar not being cold and a couple of the lounge armchairs could do with refurbishing.
