Suite Novotel Cannes Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "A Very good stay in Cannes"

22nd September 2012, BrianandMary434, Fleet, United Kingdom

This was our second stay at the Suite Novotel in Cannes and we feel that this hotel offers excellent value for money with the 30 day prepaid scheme. The layout of the room is well designed, with bath, seperate shower and wash basin in the same bath room, seperate w/c with it's own washbasin and the suite also has a mini kitchen with built in fridge, mirowave and small sink unit. Our room had a large double bed with an additional single bed. The room has dividers which can make the room into two seperate bedrooms or it can divide the double bed from the office which has a large table with two office style chairs together with internet access and desk lighting..The location is very good, being a ten minute walk from the SNCF railway station and a fifteen minute walk to the shops, marina and beaches.

Suite Novotel Cannes Centre: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Thumbs up for Suite Hotel Cannes"

10th September 2012, Dublin

Great location. Less than 10 mins walk from famous Croisette Boulevard. Hotel was good value for money considering it is Cannes. Rooms are worthy of being called suites are they are very spacious and well equipped for me & my young family. Staff was friendly and very helpful staff. Definitely will return here.

Suite Novotel Cannes Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great Value! Good location,Useful Design & Amenities, Cleanliness Suspect."

13th April 2012, phillyeurope, Voorhees, New Jersey, USA

This hotel is a great value. We stayed 5 days and used it as a base to travel around by rentacar to various towns in the French Riviera. The location is very convenient to both the A8 motorway (La Provencale) and within (if a bit long) walking distance to various sights on Cannes' waterfront. The underground garage is TIGHT, though. Rent the smallest car you can get away with. The room design was perfect and the price quite economical for what was received. HOWEVER, the carpet was not clean and one could see dust accumulated in various corners and seams of the carpet. This is inexcusable. Also the buffet breakfast is quite a good value with the exception that the bread quality was poor. Baugettes were not available on any of the mornings. Only little, extremely hard rolls (I think these rolls were used for economy reasons, perhaps being able to be used for more than one day, if not consumed-as opposed to standard French breads). Other than that, cheese, juice and yogurt selection was excellent and if included in your hotel; package (read: almost free), well worth it. Do stay, but be aware of the caveats.

Suite Novotel Cannes Centre: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Mrs Moulding"

Hi the hotel was helpfull but we found the selection at breakfast for the price of thirteen euoro,s was very restricted

Suite Novotel Cannes Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "nice place, but maybe they should ensure that all of the staff are upbeat, more helpful"

25th September 2011, Nairobi, Kenya

Very nice room and very quiet. Spotty service--in one case, all of the chairs in my room were wet--the guy at the desk said that they had cleaned all of the chairs in all of the rooms--if I really wanted a chair I could sit in (to work), i could come downstairs and carry one of the chairs from the breakfast area up, which i did--not terrible, just a little odd. Breakfast is perhaps a little too pre-packaged. The one thing I want most--coffee in the morning--requires a wait. One machine, and often a line of 5 people for a very slow dispenser. Still, the room is so clean and well thought out, that I would still come back.

Suite Novotel Cannes Centre: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Delivers What It Promises"

21st September 2011, London, United Kingdom

This is my third visit to the Suite Novotel - and this time came with a French friend from London who has all ready to be extra critical.Well, she was pleasantly surprised.....The Suite Hotel ideal was new to her, but she thought it was great. Parking can be tricky in the street, although for 8 Euros a day you can use the hotel's facility, Only 10 mins. walk from the Croisette and excellent value for Cannes.

Suite Novotel Cannes Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "our stay"

12th September 2011, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

The location was good, the rooms were good, we had parking underground for 8eur, which was great, but the parking lot was very small and was always a challenge to park our car, but other wise it was great

Suite Novotel Cannes Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "A very good base for visiting Cannes."

27th June 2011, Camberley, England

We found the hotel to be comfortable and well positioned and the staff were friendly and polite. Our room was large and well equipped and situated in a very quiet part of the hotel overlooking the open-air breakfast area. The bed was extremely comfortable and, combined with the quiet position, allowed an excellent night's sleep. The bathroom was very spacious and well equiped with a separate bath and shower. A sink in the main room area along with a small fridge and microwave were very good extras. The room was well cleaned and, over an eight night stay, our bed linen was changed regularly. The parking in the underground public car park was very convenient and good value for an area like Cannes. There were a couple of areas that could be improved: Firstly, the air conditioning is not really powerful enough for a modern hotel in a part of France that experiences high summer temperatures. It just about kept our room coolish in the middle of June but must surely struggle in the very hot months of July and August.Secondly, the breakfast is not particularly good value for money. We stay in a variety of Accor hotels and the breakfast provided in Ibis hotels is more substantial and better value than at this Suite Novotel. On several mornings items like bread, croissants and fruit juice had run out and the staff tended to be rather slow in replenishing things. The outdoor courtyard was a very pleasant place for breakfast but the tables were often left uncleared for long periods. Thirdly, this is a largish hotel but there is only one small lift and, being on the eighth floor, we often had to wait a while for the lift to come.Overall, this is a very pleasant and comfortable hotel with friendly staff, particularly on the reception desk. It is only 10 minutes walk from the Croisette and it is set in an area with lots of local shops and cafes. We would certainly use it again when visiting Cannes and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
