We are used since 5 years to stay at IBIS Carlisle for the Penrith potfest to which we participate. The service is 100% correct to our expectations. Rooms are clean and tidy. Breakfast is just normal . help when required is always available. Thank You
Quality feedback is always a delight to read, thank you so much for your comments, which I will of course pass onto the team, I am thrilled you consistently experience a hassle free stay, at Ibis Carlisle, year on year and look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Kind Regards, Beverley McPherson
Rooms were nice and bed comfortable and reception helpful. Breakfast was poor eating at 9am choice was limited they had run out of some warm items and orange juice. The price was reasonable and the location was good for train station and city centre.
Thank you for your review. please accept my apology with regards to Breakfast. We like to put out on the display little and often to allow the best quality for all our guests, i am sorry if this was not explained to you or replenished quick enough. I hope you will give us opportunity in the future to provide you with a hassle free breakfast experience. Many Thanks Bev
A well planned hotel, someone has given a great deal of thought to providing a competent shower space in the room. I could bend down to pick up the soap! Make sure that you do not get a room overlooking the main street on a Friday and Saturday evening. Competent and friendly staff. I`d stay here again, by choice.
Thank you for your comments, I am pleased you found the Ibis Carlisle to be of a good standard and look forward to welcoming you back again, please feel free to phone in advance if you have any particular room request. Kind Regards, Beverley McPherson
I chose the hotel because I know the ibis brand. It was clean and comfortable, and I was able to order a latish snack from the bar. It was also right in the centre near the station and where I needed to be on the following day.
Excellent location for breaking the journey to or from Scotland, Easy to locate from the motorway great welcome from the front of house staff. Beds very comfortable and breakfast is a buffet style including a cooked version. Good parking at rear of hotel(free). Recommended.
Check in was a farce, with the staff initially claiming that we'd already checked in (untrue) before sending the first of our party to arrive to the wrong type of room and claiming that we had not booked a Family Room (untrue). After finally getting into the right type of room, which was clean and tidy but basic at best, we didn't avail of the hotels other facilities so I wont pass comment on them. The hotel was relatively noisy, probably due to its proximity to the Carlisle nightlife, something highlighted by the 3 drunks, sat outside the Walkabout nursing a pint at 5am when we got up leave. If you're looking for a nice hotel for a weekend break, this is not it (but nor is Carlisle). If you're looking for somewhere cheap to get a few hours sleep before a 69 mile run along Hadrian's Wall, this is a good option. If you're looking for a cheap hotel to take a local back to after a night in Walkabout, this is probably perfect.
Good location near to all city centre attractions. Pleasant and friendly staff with a very clean and well kept hotel. Breakfast just about all one could expect for the price and the convenience. Excellent stay overall for a quick break in Carlisle.
Friendly welcome from staff. Car park was not that easy to find I missed the turn the first time and went round the one way system- found it the second time. I had a caesar salad in the hotel it was excellent. There are also many good restaurants a minutes walk from the hotel.
Staff excellent, breakfast was good for price charged, room well set out and comfatable bed. Shower pod was ok with high pressure shower but need to be aware of the step when using during the night. I often use Ibis hotels for group bookings and they always deliver value for money.
Dear tony_watt3, Thank you very much for your kind review. It is much appreciated and I can assure you that my team will be delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay. I look forward to welcoming you back again very soon. Kind regards, Joanne Amos
On arrival at the hotel, I intended just to request if I could leave my bags and check in later. The lady. Patricia Locsei was very efficient and pleasant and extremely helpful when I requested an additional nights accommodation. She also supplied small map of central Carlisle. The room was a standard Ibis room, clean and tidy, compact. I slept very well in the bed and the shower was one of the best I have used. Nice and hot and powerful. Great! The breakfasts were also good with a reasonable selection of foods. Patricia also assisted me with making a further booking at another Accor hotel and was again very pleasant and efficient. Checkout was also good with Elena and I encountered no problems with any of the staff, all were very pleasant and easy to chat to. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The only downside were some very noisy guests on the Friday and Saturday nights who may have been out on a 'Hen's Night"! The earplugs provided helped!
Dear David W, Thank you very much for your kind review. It is much appreciated and I can assure you that my team, especially Patricia and Elena, will be delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay. I look forward to welcoming you back again very soon. Kind regards, Joanne Amos
