Enjoyed our stay. Rooms are compact and bijoux, but that is all you need. Rooms clean and looked recently refurbished. Just a short walk to some good restaurants (some only take cash!) and the main shopping street. About 10/15 minutes to the waterfront, depends if you walk or go down on the funicular. All in all, a good place to stay.
The hotel is well located in the center of town. Near the shopping center, eating places and a supermarket. It is very convenient. Also it is easy as storting point for trips around the city. The room itself is very standard, compact. The only downpoint was the airconditioning. It did not seem to work. Althought october was not that warm, it was not comfortable. All by all, it was ok.

The overall impression about the hotel was good. It's rooms are clean and comfortable, following Ibis standards. Breakfast and bar services are also very good. Staff is kind and always available to help, but a little limited when facing problematic situations. Location is great but the access to the front desk is a bit odd: it can be done only by using a "hidden" lift (there is no front door), so we took around 5 minutes to find the hotel entrance. Despite of this fairly good overall impression, my wife and I had a big headache during our checkin. Another customer did not checkout on time, so we had not a ready room upon our arrival. Since we had booked - and paid - our stay more than 30 days in advance, I believe it's not acceptable to make us wait for more than 5 hours to have our room ready. The front desk staff just suggested us to leave for lunch and come back later to check room status. We could not refresh ourselves and had to leave our luggage on the front desk to leave for lunch and for a walk until our room was finally set. Then, to make things worse, the room was set with two single beds, differently from the "new Ibis bed" promised when we booked the room (and also advertised in front of the hotel). I was with my wife so it was a bit disappointing to have to join two single beds to "simulate" a bigger bed.
