basic functional rooms , nice lobby & bar area , Breakfast choice & quality was excellent as good as any 4 star hotel . Staff were very helpful & friendly . although basic the rooms were clean & had what you needed accept maybe a safe for valuables , shower was very good .Room was on the ground floor so was little dark would be my only issue .

Very disappointed. Not only did the aircon not work, the unit would not even blow out air! So we had to leave the window open. Breakfast was not as good as the Ibis in Barcelona.

I stayed at the IBIS for 4 nights, split across 3 different bookings, as the match I was in Madrid to attend had a change of schedule. Nonetheless, the staff at the reception was very courteous and made sure we didn't have to change rooms. On the room front, it was VERY basic. I understand I booked it knowing what I was getting, but it didn't even have basic amenities like a simple kettle or a bottle of water. Even the glasses in the washroom were paper glasses. The mattress and the pillows were terrible and I suffered a backache due to them. Additionally, on the 4th night, even though the weather wasn't very cool, the AC for some reason wasn't working and it became difficult to sleep. When I called the reception, I was told that the AC wasn't working and that they couldn't do much, and asked me to open the windows for some fresh air. I definitely didn't pay over 100 EUR a night at a reputed chain like the IBIS to be asked by the reception to open the windows. This was quite ridiculous. Even when the next morning I asked at the reception about the AC, I was told they cannot always keep both, the heaters and AC on and this pattern keeps changing depending on the weather. However, I wasn't informed about it in advance, and neither was this mentioned anywhere on the booking page. The hair dryer stopped working within a few seconds of switching on, and the TV didn't start either (the red light on the remote just kept blinking). I will surely be very apprehensive about booking an IBIS property after experiencing this kind of service.
