"Good stay"
10th May 2012, VFMmusafir, Montaione
We had opted for Novotel Mestre only because we could not get any suitable reservation in Venezia. It was a good decision! While it is far from the touristy locations there is an excellent bus n train connectivity between the hotel and Venezia. The staff is very courteous and ready to help.
"Novotel Venezia Mestre"
30th April 2012, Samit_10, London, United Kingdom
We stayed in Novotel Venice Mestre last week for 2 nights. The hotel was in mestre(kind of Venice Mainland) and was close to Mestre station. On the plus side, staff gave good detail of access to the hotel and since there was a direct bus from close to hotel to Venice, the access was not a problem. The hotel room was very nice -spacious and clean. However, some of the issues in the room were-quality of the matresses.Matresses were really very hard and uncomfortable to sleep on.Not the likes that someone would expect after paying so much for the rooms. To add to the pain, there was no air conditioning in the rooms( instead they gave the heating option).I would not expect a hotel to provide me heating in the rooms when outside temperature is 15 degree celcius. When I approached the hotel staff, they had no solution to my problem except to offer me an other room(which they thought was relatively cooler due to being on 6th floor- but with only heating facility in the room). The next day, manager did not even bother to check with us about the discomfort. The room was very suffocated and when I requested for a table fan to provide some relief atleast, that wasn't available as well.I would strongly suggest to check with them about AC before booking the hotel. This AC thing appeared to be quite discretionary(though they relate it to Italy law and may tell that it starts next month-which is absurd as my hotel in florence provided me the room with AC ON).

"City Tax + transportation"
30th March 2012, Brussels, Belgium
The rooms were ok; however, we were disappointed by the below:1. The travel guide by public transport which I requested didnt cover how to get from bus stop (bus N2) till hotel. It just said 10 mins walk. We took wrong turns and ended up walking for 3-4 kms in the middle of the night.2. When we checked out on 26th Mar at around 11am I was asked to pay extra of 2.4 Euros (without any receipt) as city tax. Why is it not covered in basic expense? And why a receipt was not provided? .
"Strict regulations and no service-minded"
13th March 2012, Almere, The Netherlands
My family consists of five members- parents, three young children who are 8, 6, 2 years old. This hotel forced us to book two rooms. The staff insist that it is Italian law.

Management responseDear Guest, our family rooms are not able to accomodate 5 people but only 4 (2 adults 1 child -3 adults 1 child or 1 adults 3 child). The Italian law doesn't permit to accomodate for security reason more person as able.Dear Guest, Children are very special guest for Novotel and you can find on our web site special offers for family, for example "Family Extra Room"; if you need more space you can book a second room for your children at half the price of your own room. The reduction will be made on the "Best Rate without Conditions." Breakfast is free for children up to the age of 16. Dear Customer, I do not find very correct that you have evaluated our services, rooms, cleanliness, without having stayed in our hotel.By the way, we hope to have you as a guest, so you can really try our services.Best regards.Ettore CavallinoGeneral Manager

"Very good, but you can be better!"
1st September 2011, Arad, Romania
The general atmosphere of the hotel was very good. Breakfast not so complex. A minus would be the pool opening hours, between 10am and 9 pm, exactly when most of the clients are in town. The pool was useless for me and for many other turists.
"What Shuttle????"
15th August 2011, Dublin
I booked this hotel mainly because of location and believed from there was a hotel shuttle to Venice (advertised by hotel website). No shuttle but just public bus 400 metres away with no footpath and small child. Crazy drivers so it was safer to drive and pay for Venice Car Parks.
"Enjoyed our stay"
12th August 2011, Layton
This hotel was great because of the pool and the room and service. I thought the restaurant as kind of expensive and the location was not close to the metro, however there was a bus stop close by and that worked for getting to Venice. I would recommend this hotel.
"Nice place"

At end of High way, good base to walk trough Genoa bay-shore area. Also is good to reach Ferry area and convenient when you arrive late at night. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
"Not The Best Novotel Stay"
15th July 2011, Herrenberg, Germany
Not too happy about this Novotel stay. I guess I expected more. Don't waste your money on the breakfast... definately not worth it. They advertise internet, yes, in the lobby. You can pay separately for an outside internet connection while in your room. We ended walking up and down the stairs as we were tired of waiting for the elevators. For a hotel this large, the elevators are not sufficient. All of us agreed that the beds were norrible and we did not sleep well for any of the three nights we were there. For the advertised price, we would not reccommend this hotel.
