"Good location but impolite staff!"

Pros: Central location, easy access to public transportation. Rooms are neatly and modernly furnished.Cons: The heating did not work despite it was 8 degrees celcius in the evening (and not more than 12 degrees during the daytime) at the time of our stay, so we were really cold on the first night. The staff gave us a small fan on our second day (after we asked them how to turn on the heating) which worked fine, but we found it surprising that a 4 star chain hotel did not have central heating in the rooms at a time when outside temperatures were already so low. We are not sure whether we would consider staying there again in the wintertime! In our room we had a toilet separate from the bathroom. The bathroom had a shower as well as a bath and the washbasin. In the toilet there was no washbasin which was kind of inconvenient and the toilet had a sour smell as it had no fan whatsoever. If possible, ask for a room with a toilet, bath and washbasin in a single bathroom. What we found really abhorrent was the attitude of one of the reception personnel on our second night: Upon coming back at around 11 pm, we saw that the guests staying next door had left their tray with leftovers of the food which they apparently had ordered from the room service right next to our door. As the leftovers smelled really bad (not to mention that it looked very displeasing and the tray was partly blocking the fire exit), we called the reception to request that they take the tray away. The guy who was on duty said that he would take care of it but added that he would come up in 15 minutes as he was alone in the reception. As nothing happened even after half an hour, we called in again to repeat our request, even though we were very polite during both calls the guy got really rude at the second call, yelling to us on the phone and claiming that it had only been 10 minutes and that we had to wait! In the end the tray was removed but we found it unacceptable in terms of customer service that a staff member can get so rude and ignorant.

Clean and comfortable and a short walk to sights and shops. Look for the Wirsthaus on de Au just down the foot path and across the river. It is an authentic German beerhall where there are more locals than tourists.

The hotel is very good, but the air conditioning system not. The control inside the room doesn`t obbey our comand. The temperature is regulated by a central air conditioning and it was very hot.The hotel service and the instalations in general were very good. The only exception was the air condiotiong system.

I spent one night at the Novotel with family. I travel more than 1/3 of the time for work and see a fair number of hotels. This one is clean, functional, and convenient. Nothing to get excited about, but it seems like it's usually when the room isn't clean and the service is bad that I get excited.

Had excellent stay and time. Nice and clean hotel, good sized rooms, very good and secured parking (a bit expensive though), good breakfast (coffee machine would be a good addition), very good kids area at the ground floor, nice location..Wi fi charges are too high. I would prefer to have free wi fi at least in the hotel lobby.
