The ibis Dinant hotel is situated in the heart of this Belgian town, the birthplace of Adolphe Sax, who invented the saxophone. Close to the old town, the hotel is on the banks of the La Meuse river, just a stone's throw from restaurants, bars, shops and the Dinant casino. The hotel has 59 air-conditioned rooms, a bar that serves snacks 24 hours a day, and WIFI access for business guests. There is a public car park just 55 yards (50 m) away from the hotel.
Thanks to its central location, hotel ibis Dinant is the perfect base for discovering the city's tourist hotspots. Climb onto the famous Citadel of Dinant and enjoy from there the breathtaking views of Dinant and beyond. Mr Sax's House, the interactive saxophone museum, also comes highly recommended. As Belgium is often associated with abbey beers, we would urge you to take a look at the Abbey of Leffe, just outside Dinant. A visit to the cave La Merveilleuse should also be on your wish list.
This hotel participates to Planet 21 and is acting in favour of Positive Hospitality.

My wife Nicola and I very much enjoyed our brief stay in Dinant by the River Meuse. The accommodation was, as ever in Ibis hotels, clean and the hotel staff friendly and helpful. We enjoyed strolling round the city centre, which is indeed beautiful.
Dear Hugh and Nicola, Thanks very much for your nice review of your stay at Ibis Dinant. Our team appreciates your sympathetic comment. Our main challenge is the satisfaction of our clients with the service delivered. We are proud to have been up to it. We are thrilled that you spent an enjoyable stay among us. Our central location just a stone's throw from Dinant's old town enables to better explore the city. See you soon again in Dinant for new discoveries. Véronique Degives, General Manager.
Very fresh hotel directly on the river Maes. Parking just outside the entrance. Quick check in with multilingual personnel.Nice room with airco. Tv with stations in many languages. Quiet also with room opposite the elevator. Breakfast with all kind of cheeses , bacon , different eggs , salamis and hams and fresh bred is some of the good stuff. I can recommend this hotel to anyone anytime. Thanks for a good stay. Mats from Antwerp
Comfortable with good service and attentive staff. Special mention should be made of Michelline who was especially efficient and pleasant at breakfast. Glorious location by the River Meuse was our base for three nights. Sadly my car was vandalised on the car park but not the hotels responsibility. We will return.
Just a short walk along the river to the citadel, maybe 15 mins but such a pleasant stroll we didn't really notice. The hotel's terrace, where you can sit out to eat or drink, is it's star feature, with lovely views along the river. Clean, modern, comfortable rooms and a good breakfast buffet. Free outdoor parking, limited space, but we got a spot on a day that the hotel was full. Dinant is a small, simple, friendly characterful town.
The hotel was relatively easy to find (with Sat Nav) but the roads in Belgium are some of the worst I've ever been on. Hotel was located in a very, very nice part of the town. Parking is available outside and was free for motorcyclists. Check in was easy as always and the staff were extremely helpful to us Brits. We did try the food - although it was only snack stuff. We later went to a local restaurant. The bar served some good beers here. Room was your standard Ibis affair, maybe a little more cramped than usual but we found it clean and comfortable and with air-con. I'd stay here again
excellent place to break a long journey - UK to the Swiss Alps. Friendly staff, cosy bar with limited snacks, comfortable rooms overlooking the Meuse. What more could a traveler want? Perhaps a secure carpark?
Dear Martyn G, Thank you for taking your valuable time to review your stay with us. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our amenities that we have to offer. We have the chance to have a free public parking next to the hotel so that our clients can leave their car and visit easily the centre of Dinant. We look forward to your next visit. Sincerely,
Dinant is the jewel of a gorgeous part of Belgium, straddling the Meuse River, and the weekend had perfect weather. With this background, our stay in the Ibis Dinant was completely magical. The hotel is superbly located on the river bank, easily accessed, plenty of parking, sparkling clean and very comfortable. I've never had a more pleasant experience. Excellent room and bed. Kind hosts, great breakfast. After dining at one of the numerous bistros in Dinant, we always finished on the terrace of the Ibis, the best location of all, sipped some wine, and watched the last boats. Fantastic place!
We came to Denant to hear some jazz music in memory of the inventor of the saxofone Mr Sax but we were dissapointed to see that in the small group of musicians that played around the bars there was no saxofone. It was a great delusion and we considered our visit useless having come from England. Best rewgards Anthony and there is no jazz club opened
