Great hotel, ideal location for making the most of your stay in Manchester. I found that the parking was very good and secure. The hotel is nice and clean with comfortable rooms. The breakfast was very very good, plenty of choice and good quality with really pleasant members of staff on hand to help you. And if you are looking for an amazing place to eat then visit Papa G's at the Printworks, excellent quality and amazing food ( chunky chips to die for) fantastic value for money.

Very nice hotel in the centre of Manchester ideal for Theatre"s and other attractions. Good car parking facilities under the hotel,where hotel patrons are eligible for a discount to standard prices.I would certainly use this hotel again .

"Manchester nights"

Stayed over at the Novotel, Portland Road, Manchester for one night, bed and breakfast. Have used this hotel before, back in 2010, before their refurbishment. To be honest we preferred it before the update. Public areas are very much reminiscent of a canteen, all plastic chairs and tables. Bedrooms are basic and comfortable and good value for money. Breakfast is also good but who can go wrong with the good British breakfast? One good point is the secure parking just to the side of the hotel, pricey but at least you know your car is safe.

"excellent hotel"

The Novotel in Mnchester is in an excellent location, for the lively bars and for going shopping, the hotel is clean and fresh, the staff are polite and helpfull, the drinks at the bar are expensive so is the food but with so many other places to eat and drink in the area this is not a problem, if you travel by car it is expensive to leave your car in the car park as there is no hotel free parking, i travell to the hotel by taxi so this is ok for me

"Lion King weekend"

We stayed for 2 nights and had 3 rooms. Ideal location for access to theatre, football museum, shops, bars and restaurants.Extremely helpful and attentive staff, great breakfast (on till 12.00!!) and high level of cleanliness. Would stay again.

"Lovely hotel"

Hotel is in a great location, we went to the Palace Theatre, and offers cheap parking too for city centre with plenty of spaces. also very close to train station. Interior is very clean and room spacious. We didnt have breakfast or dinner. Definitely a 4* as although great the standard room didnt have the wow factor that a closeby 5* has> (but also doesnt cost as much)

"Disappointing"

Room comfortable but shower head could not be fixed in a useable position. TV remote control was very unresponsive."Free" WiFi in Reception area and bar did not work and could not be made to work.Bar area resembles a motorway service station!Discount ticket for car park resulted in higher charge than if it had not been used!

"Nice Hotel, good location with a great breakfast !"

This hotel is located ideally for my business in Manchester. Guests receive 30% off the Qpark next door. One downside was the selection of TV channels, but otherwise a good hotel and with a great selection of items for breakfast.

"The welcome spoilt it all"

A thoroughly passable stay except for the welcome. Room comfortable with a nice, spacious bathroom.Onto the welcome - I had to complain in order to actually get the room that I had booked. At first, the lady on reception told me that I had been upgraded but just blatantly lied as I was given a smaller and less comfortable room than the one that I had booked. I normally feel really looked after at Accor hotels and this was the one exception.Other things:Breakfast good but expensive if you only want a bit of fruit.Surely wifi should be free as it is in many other Accor hotels.

Excellent service, high standard of accommodation, good quality meals. hotel ideally located for shops and theatre. We hope to repeat our stay again soon. The staff were efficient and very helpful. we were particularly impressed by the room we were allocated light and airy very comfortable bed good wi-fi facility .

"Manchester Novotel Chinatown"

Good Car Park under Hotel ideal for Novotel and Ibis above, New style rooms have seperate toilet to bathroom.Good position for Chinatown a short walk to shops (mind the trams) and Arena a bit further.Over all very good and only a block away from Theatre and Palace Hotel where a lot of events are held.

"Happy Birthday"

I booked the hotel for my birthday weekend to stay with my partner and travel over to Liverpool to see my Mum. An executive room was booked which was perfect for us as it included a Bose iPod sounddock and a Nespresso machine plus you get complimentary water and bathrobes. Seeing as it was on promotion it cost less than £65 per night. The room was on the top floor, was partially separated so we had a separate seating area and more space than was necessary, the styling of the room was very modern too which is to my partner an my tastes. I prefer this room type to the standard room for all the additional extras and because it does not cost that much extra.

The hotel is in a good location in easy reach of the shopping areas and railway station. We found the a/c very noisy in the room at around 6 am best described as a jumbo jet with bad engines! All being well this has been resolved. The staff were freindly and helpful, we were a wee bit dissappionted with the advertised free wi-fi it is a computer conection no good if you have tablets or smart phones. The food was very good presented very well and good value.

"Good City Centre hotel"

Had a good night's sleep - great location and room. Small but comfortable with good facilities. Didnt use gym or restaurant but seemed good. Bed comfortable and bathroom good - no bath - shower powerful and toiletries nice.

I can't really fault this hotel, I have stayed there twice now and it will certainly be my default choice for any time I stay in Manchester. Very spacious, comfortable, quiet and nice design. Location is great for all of central Manchester.

nice hotel, good location, probably the most unfriendly staff i have come across! not welcomeing lots of other hotels in the area that couldnt possibly be as unwelcome, felt like I was a hindrance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
