Novotel Manchester Centre hotel

"Very noisey"

Clearly there is renovation/building work going on in the hotel and for some reason they decided to put me right next to it. So the afternoon rest that I needed before my evening meetings was a total waste of time. I couldnt even hear the TV in my room the noise was so loud. No apology or discount from the staff when I pointed it out and a total reluctance to move me. If I hadnt arranged to meet people there I would have checked out immediately.VERY POOR!

"Good basic hotel"

Stayed in an executive room and its little different from a standard so wouldn't waste the money again. Also the hotel has been recently decorated and its a bit bright and off putting with not much room in front of check in.

"Little disappointed"

great hotel, good rooms and value. just started to use Novotel for business stays and had been happy with them so far. i must say that at my last visit, i arrived on the sunday to stay four nights. i received a call late monday night to say my sister had passed away and had to leave early tuesday morning. i explained the situation to the desk clerk and he said he would ask about a refund for the remaining two nights, due to the circumstances. i had to follow this up later in the week and was told because i prebooked it and prepaid for the stay, it could not be refunded. i understand there are terms and conditions to booking hotels, but surely some circumstances lead to a little more flexibility. although i rate your hotel chain highly, i will not use Novotel again.

good location & helpful staff though the ticket machine in the Q car park robbed me! really nice staff who were very helpful.

"Great Service"

I found this a great hotel with good service and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. It was an ideal city centre location, and especially for aqccess to Manchester Picadilly station. I would certainly recommend this hotel to friends, family and business colleagues.

"Wonderful as always"

The Novotel Manchester Centre is our hotel of choice in Manchester and never fails to please. We often ask for and get a room upgrade which always helps to improve our visit. We would highly recommend this hotel and wonder why it isn't classed as at least a 4 star rating!!!

"Satisfactory stay"

I regularly use Ibis and Etap hotels, but had not previously been to a Novotel; however due to a special offer it actually worked out cheaper(!) to stay at the Novotel on this occasion. The feel of the room is actually quite similar to the Ibis style, although there are definitely more frills, and the decor is a bit nicer; however it probably wasn't as much of a step up as I was expecting (standard room)The location of this hotel is excellent, it is very convenient for all sorts of amenities and attractions (we were in Manchester to attend a show at the Apollo, and found it very easy to navigate from this central location)I would hesitate to pay full (not on a promotion) price for this room, (particularly due to the tiny cubicle toilet! If you've stayed at an Etap you know what I mean! I would question whether this constitutes 4*) but if the price is right I will certainly be going back; it will definitely be my first consideration next time I'm in Manchester

"Excellent stay!"

Booked the Novotel for an overnight stay following my works Xmas party. Check-in was very quick & efficient, managed to park in front of the Hotel to unload albeit I had to pay for 30 minutes on-street parking to save having to walk from the NCP car park with my luggage. Room very nice and spacious, LCD TV with plenty of channels. Films available but quite expensive considering the age of some of the movies. Bed reasonably comfortable. Room facilities as expected for such a good hotel chain. Full English breakfast was fantastic and just what the doctor 'ordered after a night out on the town!! :-) Highly recommend this hotel for excellent value for money. Thank you to the Novotel. ps. the NCP car park near the Palace Theatre is the best value at only £5.00 for an overnight stay but you have to ask for a stamped ticket from the reception at the Novotel!!

"What a perfect hotel"

Room was lovely, bathroom was roomy and food was brilliant. I went for the breakfast in bed option which didn't cost any more than it would have done for me to go downstairs and it was great - so much food i couldn't quite finish it all!I would highly recommend this hotel.

"Bed sheets are far too small"

You'll wake up in the middle of the night with the sheets crinkled up under you and half on the bare mattress. You'll have to get up and re-make your bed. And the staff are aware of the issue!Otherwise, the staff are very helpful.

"Great Hotel - Great Location"

Loved this hotel - great service and location. Price was not to bad as booked really early. Spa was OK and gym was small but plenty for a short stay. Would deffo stay at this hotel again when I'm next in Manchester. Only 3 mins walk to the Gay Village and 5 mins walk to the main shops. Around 7-8 mins walk from the rail station.
