"Great place close to town"
17th May 2012
Ibis hotels are alway great places and value for money. Ibis Lisboa Liberdade is close enough to town to be out of central city noise but just 10 minute quick walk to the centre - close to all the main areas. Close to bus route and plenty of Taxi's about if required. Very good staff and a very pleasant place to stay. Will be staying here next trip.

Fairly well located, but not "the center" if you are there as a tourist. Rooms are small, nothing special. good beds though. Subway closeby. We found garage parking expensive at 13 euros a day (other ibis locations charge about 6-7 euros in portugal)All ibis locations in portugal charged for wifi in the rooms (its free in the lobby area).. found this rather strange.
"Visit Lisbon"

I find the hotel ideally placed in Lisbon with a good selection of restaurants within 10 minutes walk. Easy access to the Metro. The only negative aspect of my stay and this has nothing to with the hotel, is that twice within2 days there were attempts made to steal from my backpack.
"Small and Friendly"

Great location just of the main avenue in the financial district with access to public transport only 5mins walk away. Small and friendly, nice buffet style breakfast, clean and tidy rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. Will definately be staying there again when we visit Lisbon again.
"Easy walking distance to Castle and sea"

Staff was friendly and helpful. I've been to 54 countries now and used Accor Hotels to Sofitel in nearly 20 countries. They (Accor) always in each country find good talent. A business case study should be done on their hiring and training process. Desk people often have multiple roles.Breakfast was limited would be a minor complaint. Needs more protein to start the day. A major complaint would be the coffee. Worst I've ever tasted on two days. They were constructing a new bar when I was there. Food service options may increase. It is a small hotel but big on service.
"Good, inexpensive accommodation"

The best way to some up the Ibis Lisboa Liberdade is that it is a practical, no-frills hotel but it was comfortable and the staff, when needed, were very helpful. The hotel is situated in the business area of the city but is near to three metro stations and in all honesty a very easy walk to the centre of town (I should add coming back it is a bit of a walk up-hill!). It was fine for what we needed, in terms of a day trip to Sintra and getting to see as much of Lisbon as possible.Being an Ibis hotel we knew that we wouldn't get all the "little extras" you may get with other hotels, but the room was a good size and it was comfortable.
"Quality Stay"

Hotel is quiet and in a very good location to explore Lisboa on foot. Staff are very friendly and helpful, especially for booking excursions or an evening of Fado. A fewminor criticisms:- The hotel`s website could do a better job providing instructions on how to locate it when arriving from the airport by bus. It`s located on a side street off Avenida Liberdade but isn`t properly indicated on the website.- Breakfast is 6 Euros per person but is only a cold buffet. It really should be free as most hotels in Portugal and Spain include free breakfast.
"Good value"

The Liberdade Ibis is a 10 minute walk from the major attractions in downtown LIsbon. Clean rooms, includes most of the amenities, but bring your own shampoo and conditioner, as they only offer soap that could be used for hair and body. Overall service is good, although it could be slow at the front desk.
"Very good experience"

We had a very nice time, were satisfied with your hotel and the location. A very good value, excellent location, good breakfast, simple but tidy room. We will plan our stay longer the nex time. Thnak you for your service.
"Great location!"
9th May 2011, ellsa, Brussels
Great location and good friendly efficient staff. The room was clean, although a bit small but perfect for 1 night. The only downside is that it is at the top of a steep hill so if you're walking up it pulling a heavy suitcase, not the best, but otherwise all was great.
"Great city, great place to stay"
9th May 2011, Porto
The metro station Avenida or Rato are the nearest one. But we can walk all over to the city centre very easily in 15-20 minutes from the hotel. The hotel stays in a hill which is a little bit difficult to walk up at the end of the day, but after a night sleep you can always go down again to the city center!
"Lisboa Libertade"
25th April 2011, Manchester
I booked the Ibis because you always know what you're getting. Sure enough it was clean, comfortable with a good bathroom & comfortable bed. The location is excellent for the Airport bus and all other transport networks on the Avenida Libertade. But in the other direction you can easliy walk to the Bairro Alto. The hotel was quiet and I slept like a log! The staff are all very friendly and helpful and all spoke English-as I generally found in Lisbon. The bar area is very small, however, and not particularly inviting-not somewhere to have a night-cap!If you want somewhere with atmosphere or local colour this is not the place for you, as you could be anywhere in Europe. However, if you want somewhere where you are guaranteed value for money, I would recomend it highly. The other Ibis seemed to be further out of town and I think it would be better to pay a little extra for the Libertade to be near the Bairro Alto in the evening.
"Excellent value and good location - rooms for 2 adults and 1 child available on request"
8th April 2011
Stayed 5 nights - two adults and 7 year old child. Website suggests only 2 can occupy a room, but I phoned and asked and we were given a room a double and a single bed which was ideal. Walkable to city centre and easy to get to using the airport Aerobus shuttle. Steep hill up to hotel may be difficult if you've lots of luggage, but fine with cases with wheels. Clean and comfortbale hotel - didn't eat breakfast there so can't comment on food. Free wi-fi in reception and shared PC - only wish would be to also have free wi-fi in rooms (you have to buy access in rooms). Otherwise, for 55euros/night for the room, it was excellent value,
