Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf and Spa Resort: 4.0 out of 5 stars "A great choice for Angkor Wat"

10th April 2012, LondonAmanda, London

Lovely rooms, service and pool. Poor food and bar for this standard of hotel. The private tour organised by the concierge team was first class.

Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf and Spa Resort: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Great Hotel"

11th March 2012, Bandar Seri Begawan

Stayed at Sofitel for two nights, their service is excellent. Even before arriving at the hotel everything has been taken care of. All staff from Front Office to F&B and even pool staff are attentive, they are always ahead of you in providing you with what you want. On the other hand, food variety for a la carte dinner could be improve as well as the quality. Nevertheless, I would really recommend this hotel to my friends and family. Keep up the great job!!!

Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf and Spa Resort: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Beautiful hotel with very friendly staff"

11th March 2012, kevin53_10, Whangarei, New Zealand

My wife & I spent 1 night in the Sofitel Angkor, but would have loved to have stayed longer! A lot longer! As this was our last night in Cambodia, I decided to leave in style & booked a suite for some comfort. We were not disappointed. From the moment we were welcomed to the hotel, we were made very welcome by all the staff we came in contact with. Our room was beautifully set out with all the facilities required for a relaxing stay. The hotel grounds are just beautiful with a lot of attention to detail & ongoing maintenance. We dined in the main restaurant & thouroughly enjoyed the meal with more great service. As we did not have time to utilise the spa facilities or golf course i cannot comment other than to say both looked in keeping with the rest of what the hotel has to offer.Highly recommended.

Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf and Spa Resort: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Phnom Penh Treasure"

29th February 2012, Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, USA

Sofitel Phnom Penh is a 5 star property in a 2 star city. I would prefer a location closer to the center but the rooms are exquisite and large and the staff quite helpful. Should I ever return to Phnom Penh, I would certainly stay here.

Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf and Spa Resort: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Siem Reap"

3rd October 2011, Singapore

The sofitel has a very nice colonial-style touch. It's a very comfortable hotel, the staff is always here to address your needs and with a smile. A very good choice in Siem Reap. Close to Angkor Wat.

Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf and Spa Resort: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Siem Reap Visit"

12th September 2011, Singapore

Good location and grand hotel, sitting on a hugh property sitting along Charles de Gaulle. Very close proximity to Angkor Wat and Airport. We took the Suite facing the interior pond that was scenic and peaceful. The Suite is actually 2 rooms converted into a bedroom and sitting room. We had a hugh welcome fruit tray, some cakes and a bottle of wine. Stationaries were personalized, which was a nice thought. We had selection of pillows to choose, which helped greatly in getting a good nite's sleep. Overall the staff were courteous and friendly. Pity that the main restuarant were undergoing renovation, so the coffee house was where we had dined. The daily buffet breakfast was only average, but the quality of al la carte food served is good. All in all not a bad experience although those who want a little more modern decor should try the neighbouring property under Le Meridien.

Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf and Spa Resort: 5.0 out of 5 stars "A returned visitor"

3rd September 2011, Melbourne

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and I was excited to see that it had lost none of it's allure in the 5 years since I was lst there. I was happy that I had returned with 3 business cooleagues and could share this fabulous hotel with them

Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf and Spa Resort: 5.0 out of 5 stars "The Best Holiday Ever"

10th July 2011, Brisbane

The Sofitel - Siem Reap was fantastic. The staff couldn't do more, the service was 5 star and the facilities superb. This was the best holiday ever and the Sofitel complimented the magnificent beauty of Angkor. We will definitely be going back to this hotel in the future.

Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf and Spa Resort: 4.0 out of 5 stars "A Calm Oasis in Busy Siem Reap"

17th April 2011, Taipei

A quick tuk tuk ride out of the bustling center of Siem Reap (the city near Angkor Wat), the Sofitel was a great place to sit back and relax. We stayed in a first floor room looking out onto the small lake in the middle of the complex, which had a great view. Nice to be able to sit out on your private garden patio in the morning and read. The room was very comfortable, my only gripe is that the air-con was a bit too cold and not very easy to adjust. The facilities are what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel, with a large pool area and out-door bar. However, the gym was a bit small, with very few machines and not much space to move around. This Sofitel also has a huge spa center which seemed very good quality, and the staff very polite, but in the end we didn't use those facilities. Everything is spread out, so you don't feel you are too close to anyone. With that in mind, it was a bit of walk between our room and the pool or reception. The breakfast buffet was good quality. Cambodia seems to be very good at French-style breads anyway, but the quality of the pastries and breads at Sofitel was excellent. The selection of fruit was great too. We ate from the lunch menu on one day, which had a nice selection of western items for something simple and light.Staff were always very courteous too. A lot of customers speak French (as do the staff), but all the staff greet with a "bonjour" regardless or where you are from.Check in and out was fairly effecient, with a welcome drink brought to you at the lobby lounge. Evening performances of traditional Cambodian dancers perform at the Sofitel, which you can watch with dinner, though we choose to go into town to see a more elaborate performance.Overall the experience was great and I'd recommend it as a place to stay if you want to get away.

Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf and Spa Resort: 4.0 out of 5 stars "An Excellent Vacation Hotel"

8th April 2011, Malmesbury, United Kingdom

We stayed here five nights. A bit of a mix-up with registration, but after that all was impeccable. A good choice of restaurants, superb staff, quiet and peaceful. We would certainly head back there again.

Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf and Spa Resort: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Wonderful"

26th February 2011, Virginia

This was a great place to stay. The hotel was very nice and clean with the best beds in SE Asia. there is a pillow menu with the best hotel pillows I have ever encountered. The staff is very warm and inviting--they are always willing to help with whatever is needed. The balcony is a great extra as well. However, the tv should be upgraded even though there is a great seleciton of channels with various langugages. Who's really watching TV with Angkor Wat so close by. Generous bathrooms with great water pressure. The pool is spectacular too. Had one problem with my shower, which was expertly fixed in no time at all. Best value in Siem Reap and easily as nice or nicer than anything in the area. ENJOY!
