I recently stayed with yourselves at Ibis Stratford this weekend. It was a good stay however I am not totally Happy with the service that was provided. The first thing we did when we got to London was check in to our hotel, we were welcomed well and received the key to our room, we payed £20 for early check in. However when we got into the room to settle in after a long travel and we went to use the bathroom to freshen up there was hairs in the shower. All over the shower floor, I can’t begin to explain how unhygienic and disgusting that truly is. I went downstairs to complain and was given a key to a new room, however we was questioned and even asked if they were our hairs! what a ridiculous question to ask your customers who just checked into a fresh room, we did not even have time to use the shower for this to happen. Moreso. When we went to the new room, there was no toilet roll provided in the bathroom and the control for the TV didn’t work. We couldn’t nicely settle into our room still and switch the TV on because it did not turn on/work! When I went downstairs again for the second time to complain and for ask for a new control, the woman said there was nothing she can do and never got back to me about the control or tried her best to get into contact with the Maintenace team to get this sorted straight away. After a long day of travelling, you would like to truly unwind and relax in your cozy room with a working tv and toilet roll. Truly I am disappointed, and will not be staying here again. This stay with yourselves was for my Mums birthday and this was the only dissapointment, she was not happy. I would like this problem to be sorted out ASAP. This was my first time staying with IBIS and it was not a pleasant stay. Not a happy customer. Waiting for your reply, Amrita

Aida was attentive once again and we feel well looked after when she's around. One or two younger staff are learning the role so we don't expect too much from them. Little bit noisy at the back when the recycling ? Lorry empties it's cargo. Nothing much else to be negative about. We always enjoy our stay. Great location and for us it's like a second home.

I know it's all down to availability but my request was for a quiet room on a high floor. I was indeed allocated a room on a hight floor but in front of the corridor/ lift door and facing the main street. The check in staff was kind enough to change it. For the rest, the usual Ibis standard applies making it a good value for money option in the area.

Electrical issues not resolved

The desk in the room had a faulty electrical charging outlet. I was not able to charge my phone, so not able to set an alarm or check my route. Not able to make a not drink. I went to the reception to ask for a resolution. I was told to go and buy a power pack for my phone to charge it. I had to leave my phone to get a minimal charge so I could locate my venue for the evening event I was booed on at. On my return I wanted to change room but no one at reception.
