"Stylish older hotel with attentive service"

A stylishly updated though in traditional fashion, makes this smaller historic property in Lyon a find. Service from bell staff, concierge and reception was generally very good and attentive. Very well soundproofed rooms. Only drawbacks are hallways and lift which were obviously not included in the renovation budget! A major setback if you are feeling tired/jetlagged is lack of room service meals aside from breakfast.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location couldn't have been better. The staff were very helpful in making arrangements to garage our rental car. The rooms are on the small side and bathroom could do with a little shelf space. If we are ever back to Lyon we wouldn't hestitate to stay there again.

This hotel was in a great location a short walk to Old Town. The hotel and has been beautifully decorated. The hotel is close to many fine restaurants The staff was very helpful and efficient. If asked I would highly recommend this hotel.

As we did last year we stopped in Lyon at our trip to the south. We chose the Royal again because of our excellent experience of last year. We were not disappointed: still the same clean, comfortable, makes-you-feel-at-home hotel. Very pleasant room and bed. Royal, you will see uw again!
