"Excellent Location"
23rd May 2012, Hamburg, Germany
This hotel is indeed centrally located. Few minutes away from the heart of town so that even arriving around 21:30, I managed to enjoy few beers at nearby pubs. A lot of restaurants and pubs nearby and you will be certain to enjoy what Dortmund offers, especially after winning Bundesliga and DFB Pokal. Usual cleanliness and efficient team and parking is nearby and overnight parking charge was less than 10 Euros which surprized me a bit. Enjoy your stay at this hotel.
"Very good hotel. Beware of rooms facing noisy night club on weekend nights"
15th March 2012, Amba-Rani, Manchester
We were able to check in early 10.15am. English was spoken throughout the hotel. Breakfast was very good. When we complained about the noisy music outside, we were promptly given another room which was fine. We would stay here again.
"Rooms are not well maintained"
7th March 2012, Waalre, The Netherlands
Upon arrival we were put into a smoking room which smelled terrible. I think they should only do that if you ask for a smoking room. Luckily we could be moved to a non-smoking room. In that room the fridge was turned off and had leakage water dripping out. After check out the reception asked whether I had used something from the minibar. My reply "there was no minibar and just a broken fridge with smelly leakage water". His reply: "ok, that is fine ...."

"Stupid night club... No way to sleep"
30th September 2011, Brussels, Belgium
There was a night club and some sort of parc right below our windows... young people where hanging out in the parc making noise, and the music of the club was so loud that there was absolutely no way to sleep... extremly annoying!
"No parking"
14th August 2011, Frankfurt
Parking was quite far away and it wasnt made clear where to park. I had to drive around the block a few times to find the nearest car park. Hotel entrance was hard to find. The nearby Hamm Mercure hotel was much nicer.
"A very good hotel in a very good place"
16th June 2011, Chania
The hotel is placed near the Dortmound shopping center, a few meters from a Metro station (Kampstrasse), and in a close distance (about 5-10 min walking) from the central railway station. The place is quit and beautifull. One problem: the curtains were not thick enough so the day light was inserted in the room early in the morning, especially in the summer period.
"Review of Mercure, Dortmund"
22nd April 2011, Chester le Street
Good central location near to railway station and city centre. Helpful staff. A buzzing noise interrupted my sleep, but I discovered at the end of my stay that the room window had been left open . Closing the window would have eliminated the problem!!
"I was not given the room that I had booked"
15th February 2011, smuk08, Munich
The hotel is fine but we were not given the room that we had booked. We had booked a superior and we have been given a standard room because the receptionist said that they had made a mistake and had only standard left.

city center, very quiet place and very clean. The building is mixed with a shopping center and a business center. ideal!
"Complaining helps"
6th January 2011, Bury St. Edmunds
Booked the hotel 5 months before the trip only to get an email the week before to say we were being moved hotels due to a lack of room. Despite booking so early we were still due to be allocated another hotel. I complained to accor and lo and behold the hotel contacted me to say there had been a cancellation. We were put into the Suite with views across Kampstr. and to be fair the room was lovely. No complaints once we got there

"Good hotel - excellent room"
12th December 2010, London
I generally like the Accor group of hotels and this was no different. A decent hotel in central Dortmund I was lucky enough to be given a corner suite for the price of a standard room. I wish i had stayed for more than one night.
"Dortmund City Hotel"
29th November 2010, Stutensee
The hotel was easy to find and was in a perfect location near the Konzerthaus. The day staff were efficient but not overly friendly. The evening staff in my opinion were arrogant and condescending. The room was the standard Accor hotel room. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been appreciated and added that extra plus. Shame. Breakfast was acceptable with the usual choice of food. However I felt that the choice of bread was limited to white bread buns or white baguette style bread - that was a real shame when you consider the range of bread produced locally in Germany. I would like to add how unfair I feel the new law to tax all accommodation by an extra 5%, refundable only for business trips. I consider I have contributed to developing Art & Culture by attending concerts, eating in restaurants and staying in the hotels in Dortmund. I shall think seriously about returning to Dortmund whilst this tax is levied.
