gets the job done. the staff is quite helpful and willing, and the breakfast is tip-top. food at the in-house restaurant is good, with a great morgon 2009, though the ambiance is cheesy at best.

The hotel is well placed opposite the Gare Matabiau and within walking distance of the major attractions in the old city. If you need public transport it is very handy, with the Metro across the road. The rooms are of the standard of Ibis across Europe: comfortable, good for a few days stay, with good attention to service. The breakfast is very good. Apart from the occasional bad smell from the bathroom (bad plumbing I presume), the room was very welcoming.

My wife and I stayed here for a week. We chose this hotel because it's just across the road from the train station and we intended to travel most of the days; one can do Toulouse with its highlight, the superb Romanesque basilica of St Sernin, in a day, at most two.Like in all other Ibis Hotels, you know what you'll get in this hotel before you even step inside: friendly staff, great breakfasts, comfortable, clean and spacious rooms. Ibis Hotels have a reputation to uphold and they never disappointed us.We take this opportunity to thank the staff at Ibis Gare Matabiau.

I would recommend this hotel as it is in a great location. The rooms are very clean and even though we had a room on the street the two sets of windows kept the noise out. I had a problem with the room and within 15mins we were moved to a new room. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was great.

Hotel up to usual Ibis standards. Extremely convenient for the station, which makes up for the area being a bit scruffy, common amongst the areas around stations in large French towns. Hotel was quiet, despite being full & room had air conditioning & secondary glazing kept out all traffic noise, despite being on a main road. Buffet breakfast great value for money.

The hotel rooms are not very big but they are very clean and comfortable. I personally slept very well; but perhaps for someone with light sleep it might be a little noisy as it is in a corner with large streets and opposite to the train station. The breakfast was good, including French pastry and fresh fruit.The service was very good and helpful.
