Reception welcoming, restaurant had reasonable range at good prices. Rooms slightly dated, it is not easy to carry bags to upper floor units.Staff friendly and helpful.

"Not too close to centre"

I would recommend this hotel only at the price we paid £25. A good ten minute drive to the centre of Plymouth, and the rooms were a bit American-style motel, so no internal corridors between rooms. Quite close to A38 so quite noisy.

"Value for money"

Although basic and a little tired, this was a typical motel style hotel, although reception, restaurant & bar were seperate and pleasant, the hotel was excellent value for money compared with others in the area.

"Very convenient and friendly"

I stopped her for 2 nights with my elderly parents while visiting relations.I phoned in advance and arranged for them to have a ground floor room with walk-in shower, and I had the room next door.All worked fine. Note though that the hotel itself is on 2 levels, on sloping ground, so while our rooms were on the ground floor of the lower block, there were steps and/or slop to get to the reception/restaurant/bar area.Rooms were basic but clean and with good beds.Not too much noise, despite being very close to the main road through Plymouth (Parkway) it is well shielded from the road. Not far fro a huge Sainsburys if you need supplies !The food in the bar/restaurant was simple pub-style meals but of good quality and well-presented, and prices ar reasonable.Overall, a very convenient stopover place, and very good value.

"Tired and dated"

My first impression was "not as good as Premier Inn". Although basic it was clean and for the price it was good value. Room is in need of redecoration but slept well and it served its purpose. Position was good as we got the bus into town and back; no worries over parking or drinking! Staff were very friendly and helpful.

"one night visit"

room was ok but the mould in the bath room smelt terrible. I think it may have also been in the carpet in the bedroom as i coughed and weezed during the night. I have never had this happen before in any hotel room. It was a cheap hotel and I guess I got what I paid for.

Clean, very helpful staff and basic. Previous motel stayed in was higher graded but had reservations about cleanliness. Didn't use cafe but looked good value.

"Ibis Hotal, Plympton"

We have used this hotel on numerous occasions and can recommend it for the way all the staff are exceptionally helpful and nothing is too much trouble. It is close to the park and ride which we use as there can be difficulties in finding somewhere to park in town. During the season it is best to ring ahead and book because they get very busy. We will continue to use this excellend hotel. Thank you

"Plymouth Ibis"

This is a tired motel style property which I used because I could use my A Club points. It is the only Accor facility in the area although I understand that both a new Novotel and Ibis are scheduled to open in Plymouth later this year.The staff however were helpful and friendly and everything in the room did work.

"On a mission!"

Welcome, service, hospitality second to none. Regrettably for me noise from A38 was very intrusive as was the noise from inconsiderate next door room! We have used Campanile in France and have never been aware of adjoining rooms. Is this lack of soundproofing "en Angleterre" or different cultures?

"Basic but great"

We stayed two nights and would happily return again when visiting Plymouth. The staff were all friendly and helpful and , although the room was basic it was clean and had everything we wanted for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was good value and enjoyable. All in all a perfect , cheap weekend break

"Friendly and effective staff"

My stay at the Ibis before a job interview was an excellent one. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and organised a taxi for me with ease. My mobile phone alarm failed to go off on the day but despite me not requesting a call up they made sure I got my taxi and didn't miss the interview. They later helped me get back into my room when I'd forgotten some of my belongings. The rooms are good at the price charged and clean and comfortable - I had no issues with noise and slept well (albeit a bit too long!). The staff really do make the difference in these places and the Ibis Plymouth have an excellent team.

"Great value"

Room very basic but clean and had everything essential. Good shower over bath. Some decor a little dated. The double bed was two singles pushed together but stayed together so not a problem. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast not great but plenty of choice. Much better than expected for £29 a night.

"Dog friendly hotel"

The Ibis in plymouth offers real value for money and provides good service and food. Reception friendly and always helpful.Most of the Accor hotels like the Ibis cater for dogs and our two little ones were at home in the room.
