"stay at plymouth"

Ibis hotel in Plymouth was a clean tidy hotel . Stay was blighted by yobs in the room next door shouting until 4am . Security guard did his best . Breakfast is ok but the hot element of it could be better.

"Fantastic stay"

I have never slept in such a comfortable bed. The room was spotlessly clean as always. Fantastic This is our 2nd stay here and just as brilliant as the last time in November last year. Will definitely visit again.

We have stayed in the Ibis several times as we visit Plymouth regularly for 2/3 days at a time and it is ideal for this purpose. The rooms are clean, warm and comfortable and the ensuite has a bath as well as a powerful shower with plenty of hot water and big fluffy towels. We always ask for a rear situated room as the hotel is in close proximity to the A38 and then we don't hear any traffic noise. The staff are friendly and helpful. This is a budget hotel but our tariff included free breakfast which has an excellent choice of fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurts and fresh bread, plus full English if required so we consider it to be very good value. Snacks and coffee and tea are available 24 hours per day and the evening meals are reasonably priced and good quality. We will definitely be staying there again soon.

New beds are excellent. Warm and comfortable room.Hotel needs better signage from A38. I have absolutely no idea why a review should have 200 characters. That must be someone's idea of a joke. I tgets sillier and sillier as there is no reason on earth to have to use 200 characters. Your system does you a disservice. Correct it or we will use another hotel.

"Surprised by the Quality"

We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room for the price. The entrance to the room was from an external balcony corridor but it was immaculate. It was clear that the facilities had recently been refurbished but it was comfortable and very well, if basically, equipped - i.e. don't expect lots of expensive soaps etc. The bed had a memory foam topper and was firm but comfortable. Even though close to the A38 then was minimal traffic noise. We were disturbed at one point in the night when a family with kids above us ran around shouting but this quickly settled down.All in all great value for money. It will be interesting to see if the quality of the rooms still looks as good a year or 2 after the refurbishment.

Great value for money. The bed was particulary comfortable. The location allowed easy access to Plymouth and beyond. The staff were wellcoming and the bar resteraunt cosey. Plenty of parking. I had no complaints

the beds are theeee most comfortable ever. its easy to get into the centre of plymouth but the rooms lack free wifi. although its free in the bar, it would be a good addition so as to use the internet first thing, it would be lot easier

Ideally situated on the edge of city centre with regular public transport service (every 20 minutes). The hotel staff are friendly and very helpful as are the hard working roomstaff. The rooms are standard some with baths but all have shower facilities.We have stayed on several occasions and believe the hotel offers value for money.

"Brilliant hotel and service"

Ibis hotel was a brilliant choice of hotel. It was great value for money, the room was perfectly clean and spacious and the breakfast was great - there was a wide range of choice to cater for all. Each morning the cleaners came round and refilled the teas and coffees and cleaned the rooms thoroughly - I thought that this was a lovely touch to our stay. The bed was of great comfort to us both. The only thing that put a downer on our stay was we heard neighbours partying and due to them smoking caused the fire alarm to go off at 4:40am.

Overall an adequate hotel at the price but there seemed to be a ventilation problem as the bathroom continually smelled of cigarette smoke - at its worst in the mornings. Being non-smokers it was extremely noticeable...

"Very friendly and helpful reception staff"

Stayed with my wife for a couple of nights. The hotel is quite old and basic and would benefit from a facelift. However, for the price, it was perfectly adequate for our needs and the staff on reception were very friendly, helpful and efficient. Didn't eat in the restaurant but had some sandwiches in the room which were very good.
