a lovely stay here in a room with a beautiful view with no noise so a restful stay and i recomend this to folk to stay with Novotel

Novotel Rotorua Lakeside offers great accomodation with a fantastic view without the high premium of other locations. Great menu and service.The sulphur in Rotorua results in corrosion to almost everything. This might make some things look unclean but they aren't and it's certainly less apparent than at other accomodation.

Had a lovely stay,all staff friendly and helpful.Recently joined Accor which made our stay very affordable and because of this we would be more likely go away as can stay & eat in top hotels world wide for a fraction of the cost!

disappointed to see the spa/gym changing rooms were at an appalling state... Shower rose & vanity taps leaking & rose missing in the shower. No used towel basket in the changing rooms & no shower gel, hand wash hand towels. If this is suppose to be an international hotel the standards need to be increased.

"A Long Relaxing Weekend"

This is the second time we have stayed in this Hotel with a Lake view room in less than 18 months. Well worth the dearer price.As we are Accor members it is a great place to stay as there is plenty to see and very close to other Restaurants if you want try something different from the Novotel food.

"A restful night away"

We wanted a place to go to relax and rest and so chose Novotel Rotorua. We certainly did rest and found the staff very friendly both at reception and in the restaurant. The smorgasbord is such good value and great food. We will be back next time we need some time out.

"Skydive Stay"

Brilliant customer service on check in, extra pillows supplied and the gentleman that came to the room was great to deal with. Lead astray in the restaurant by being told of oysters in the buffet but none have been available for a couple of months so that became overpriced.

Great location, very friendly staff. Our room was on the first floor with view over the car park, not the best. Overall a good hotel, one think I did not like was feather duvet&pillow. How weird these days when every second person is allergic?

"Great Rotorua weekend at the Novotel"

Stayed at the Novotel on a Friday and Saturday. Got a great corner lakeview and received great checkin service. Hotel is conveniently located close to the waterfront with various tourist operators, convenient for a run around the parks and thermal areas, close to the restaurant strip, and lots of parking (though note it is outside parking). Restaurant buffet on Fri and Sat night is great. Nicely appointed rooms (in four star level) but great service overall.

The Novotel offers comfortable, spacious rooms, with fine views over the lake and parks at that end of Rotorua. As well as the hotel's own restaurant/cafe and spa facilities, it is also handy to a wide range of downtown restaurants and scenic parks etc.

Really enjoyed our brief time at this hotel. Great facilities - had the pool area to ourselves. Restaurant was a pleasure to dine in with a good variety of food available. Staff happy with a warm welcome. Restaurant staff the only let down as not very attentive and messed our order up.

"Overall Spot On"

Halls need more attention to dust at the edges. A little worn looking in places, minor paint repairs needed, etc. Bathroom was clean but not sparkling as grouting was stained in places - no mold or mildew. Everything else was great! Every staff member we passed spoke, one young man even recommended the doughnut van at the SoundShell market and were they every good - thanks!! Were we on the third floor very quiet, comfortable mattresses, great location to water and walk to restaurants, shopping. Absolutely stay again, Thanks Scott and Anthony for your front desk service.

Close proximity to restaurants on Tutanekai St. 5 mins walk away from Lakeland cruises on the lake. Stayed in Junior King suite but room assigned was quite small though it had good views over the lake.

"Friendly hotel"

We stayed here over the easter weekend and had a great experience. The staff were welcoming and very accommodating. We have 2 young children (2 and 4) and they were delighted with their easter egg treat on Sunday morning from the hotel staff. Rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. Nice pool area. Lobby feels a little tired, but didn't detract from our experience. Great central location. Enjoyed the markets in the park in front of the hotel. Lots of free parking for guests. Would definitely stay again.

"Could do better"

Restaurant for Dinner was good, staff very attentive ( pork was overdone ) and almost everything was perfect, however Breakfast was hopeless, no spare cutlery, our used plates were not being taken and the toaster took for ever then you had to put it back in again and wait another eternity. Next time we would go just up the street to the bakery and bring back something tasty to the room and make our own coffee as well.When we first arrived the sink in the ensuite was very stained so had to get cleaner, who was still nearby, to give it good going over and it came up much cleaner.
