"No restaurant available"

We didn't know the hotel restaurant was not open on weekends. There is a McDonalds next door and a Nova hotel half a km away which had a restaurant but after a long drive wanted a few beers so opted for McDonalds. My wife had 2 small glasses of red wine and we were told that was all they had left ?The hotel was clean and staff friendly enough.

We had problems in finding the hotel in Lescar and after driving down from Calais we found the direction to be ambiguous.On arrival the staff were helpful and the difference in language proved to be no problem.On the down side we were dissapointed to find that there was no evening meal available only snacks,although a meal was made available for a visiting rugby team.The accomodation was very clean and comfortable,and the early morning breakfast was substantial enough.Secure car parking was available,all in all a satisfactory stay.
