Great location in between the main centre and the shopping mall and river. Nice bar, lovely rooms. However, we were only told when we arrived that we would have a function going on in the room above us for a party that night. So we had to put up with music until late then early morning cleaning. We could have been on another floor I am sure.
Only the restaurant corresponds to the 4* category hotel. The room does not: the double room is too small for two people, the glass door in the toilette better suit for a single room. The watrer basin is situated directly in the room; noise insolation of the entrance door is very bad and you can hear all sounds from the corridor. There are no tee cups in the room. It is neccessary to change the materass.
Very good location - close to city center, just 5 min walk. Nice and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room. Rich and tasty breakfast and good lunch menu with currywurst. Incredible slow interenet in rooms.

Great view from 15th floor. Room comfortable, although occasional gurgles from heating and ventilation system. Very awkward to access shower within the bath, and no non=slip surface - Ibis showers set the standard. Restaurant offered a good selection. I did not notice charge for parking (I did not have a car at the hotel) in the bill until I was at the airport.
This hotel is obviously built using the structure of the high-rise slabs buildings used by the former communist regime when Potsdam was still part of the German Democratic Republic before the Berlin Wall came down. It has a good location in walking distance to the town center and just 5 minutes away from the railway station connecting Potsdam with Berlin in a trip of about 20 minutes. These slab building were called by the locals lockers because of the size of the individual units. The hotel is close to the waterfront and from the 16th floor one has a very nice view over Potsdam and also the waterfront. The entrance, reception, restaurant and lobby look quite nice but just finding the entrance of the parking lot was a nightmare already. The bedrooms are obviously for single night stays as a maximum. They are very cramped, nowhere to put anything down only some hooks to hang some cloths. Even two suitcases were nearly too much for the room. The beds were good and clean. The bathroom a nightmare; too small, chrome and glass screens with one sliding door, bright lights and multi-mirrored. The washbasin was not in the bathroom but in the bedroom since it didn’t fit into the tiny bathroom. For curiosity I have measured the room. The bathroom has a size of about 3 sq. and the bedroom deducting the very small useless corridor entrance only about 12 m2. Towels were thin and awful. According to the request we didn’t put the towels on the floor but on the hangers. The next morning they were not re-arranged and the bed was hardly made. The cushions and the quilts were not even flattened but nearly at the same condition as when we left the room. I went down to complain and new towels were brought up and the receptionist promised to make sure that the cleaning staff would do a better job. The reception staff were pleasant, the lifts efficient, air conditioning was ok, the dinner was good, breakfast we didn’t have in the hotel. To add injury to damage we had booked and were in a “ Privilege Room”, i.e. the highest category in this hotel with a rate much higher than in other Accor Hotels during our trip. Unfortunately also the Wi-Fi didn't work properly. This is in no way according to Accor standards and we were very disappointed with this experience.
