We stayed one night (unfortunately only one night) at this great hotel, as day 15 of our trip around Europe. The check inn went smoothly with the professional and helpful staff. The room were large and well furnished. The bathroom also very large and the tub were great. And I still dream of the beds, soft and lovely. The best best beds we had in 18 different hotels. We had dinner in the restaurant, and I can only recommend that you try this too. Amazing food and wine, ans the staff are also very professional and helpful. The breakfast were well arranged, and I can't think of one thing I missed at the breakfast. And as we got used too, the staff here were also professional and helpful.All in all we had a great stay, and I am sure that I will be back in this hotel in a matter of time.

Minor item the restaurant itself was not open. Last year we took a diner in that restaurant and that was one of the reasons we went back this time. We had to eat in the hall/lobby of the hotel, which was not ideal! Pitt.View management response »

"Really helpful staff, but a weirdly lumpy mattress"

I arrived at the hotel slightly before midnight, with a court hearing the following morning. The staff delivered me a steam iron (oddly the rooms didn't come with one) and an ironing board at nearly 1am and were hugely helpful in the morning when I needed to print out some last minute papers.But the bed itself was, well, actively uncomfortable. "Great Stopover on our way to the Alps"

After a 10 hour journey from the North of England we pulled on to the Sofitel Luxembourg Europe car park in pouring rain. As soon as we got the car doors open there was a porter complete with umbrella. We were helped with our luggage to reception where the check process was nice and straightforward. The hotel facilities were explained and were were then shown to our luxurious room, which came with a Nespresso machine and a free minibar. The room was on the top floor and this gave us a superb view of some of the dramatic modern architecture of the Kirchberg plateau. We ate the hotel's Le Stubli restaurant where the food was great to eat and keenly priced. The service was attentive and friendly. What we appreciated most however, was the great big comfy bed which gave us a fantastic nights sleep. The next day we felt totally refreshed. We will be using this again for stopovers and perhaps even for a break in Luxembourg itself.View management response »

"Great stay! Excellent night sleep."

Great value for such a great night sleep. Location is in downtown, but difficult to find due to construction. We had to circle the area 2x before finding hotel. Front desk help was great. They quickly assisted us without luggagetotheroom. Cart was smallish and curb out front doesn't have a ramp so it makes pushing a cart slightly difficult. Rate came with breakfast included. Excellent aray of foods from eggs and bacon to breads and pastries. Fruit selection was the best I've seen at a hotel! Service within the restaurant was great. A few items were running low, but we came down rather late into meal service. We also ordered room service for dinner. The wife had the John doury meal which was phenomenal. I ordered the filet steak which was also just as good. The polenta side dish was the best I've tasted. We accompanied the meal with a very nice selection of Belgian beer. Overall great stay and will stay here again in the future!View management response »

The Sofitel Luxembourg was a truly amazing hotel. It is one of THE best, if not the best hotel I have ever stayed in - and that's no small feat. Is located very close to the city, main train station and public transport. Stayed in a suite and it was a totally different experience. Restaurants at the hotel were great. When I go back to that side of the world I will stay there again!View management response »
